Scott, Calum and myself first visited Ecuador in March of 2016. We spent our first fabulous week exploring the Galapagos Islands and then came to the Coast where we fell in love with the quaint fishing village of Olon. On that trip we came across a brand new modern condo on one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. The condo has a huge front deck with spectacular ocean and sunset views. The rear balconies over look the pool area and have mountain views. We are located in a gated complex just a 20 minute beach walk from Olon.
The condo itself is 2000 sq. ft and has 4 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 1 double, 2 singles) and each bedroom has an ensuite. The modern kitchen has all the regular amenities and there is an outdoor grill. There is laundry in suite. We have parking for two cars.
Our condo is located just 2° south of the equator so as you can imagine the days can get quite warm. The weather from December to May is typically hot, humid and sunny. June to September is whale watching season and you can watch humpbacks breaching from our front deck. This time of year tends to have more cloudy days and not as hot.
Getting here. Our closest international airports are Manta or Guayaquil. We ususally fly Copa; Toronto to Guayaquil via Panama City, as the connection is quick and easy and we can often be at the condo by 9pm the same day we depart Toronto. Air Canada will start flying direct to Quito in December of 2019. You can then take a connecting flight to either Guayaquil or Manta from there.
