Puka Cerámica es una pequeña empresa en Tena, Ecuador que comparte el arte de la cerámica ancestral amazónica a través de diseños originales. Ofrecemos cerámica amazónica fusionada con técnicas modernas que comparten la cultura de la Amazonía en cada pieza hecha a mano. Puka es un ceramista kichwa de la selva amazónica de Ecuador. Nació en la selva de Pastaza, Ecuador, donde se enamoró profundamente de la vida tradicional de sus antepasados kichwas y también de la flora y la fauna. Puka pasó varios años en los Estados Unidos, donde aprendió técnicas modernas que le han permitido fusionar su estilo tradicional con técnicas que crean productos para el mercado moderno que son bellos y duraderos.

Puka Cerámica is a small business in Tena, Ecuador that shares the art of ancestral Amazonian pottery through original designs. We provide Amazonian pottery fused with modern techniques that share the culture of the Amazon in each handmade piece. Puka is a Kichwa ceramic artist from the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador. He was born in the jungle of Pastaza, Ecuador, where he fell deeply in love with the traditional life of his Kichwa ancestors and also with the flora and fauna. Puka spent several years in the United States, where he learned modern techniques that have allowed him to merge his traditional style with techniques that create products for the modern market that are beautiful and durable. We are at the beginning of our journey as a company. With your help, we will be able to further develop the workshop we have in Tena, purchase more materials to begin production of ceramic ceremonial cups and other ceramic pieces to bring to the local market in Ecuador, and internationally.

We are so excited to share in the Guayusa Upina (tea ceremony) with all of you tomorrow! From 9-10:15am, we will be at Awakening Wellness Center sharing Guayusa, Kichwa culture, and community connection. Not only that, but we also got a shipment of Guayusa direct from the Amazon of Ecuador & will be able to sell you whole leaf Guayusa starting tomorrow! This is a donation based event (suggested donation of $5/person $10/family). All ages are welcome from babies to the elders of our community. We love baby noises so don't be afraid to bring your wee ones. See you tomorrow morning! Ashka pagrachu! Gracias! Thank you!
