We are looking for volunteers from all over the world who are interested in becoming involved in different sustainable community projects. San Bartolo of Uchuculin is a small rural Kichwa community, 25 minutes from the city of Tena, Napo at the edge of Llanganates National Park ! There are several projects such as building a traditional style house in the jungle and cultivating cocoa, yuca, pineap

ple and maize crops. There is no set program, volunteers can bring their own projects related to their professions and areas of interest, and according to the needs of the community. There is also the opportunity to teach English in a local rural school. This is more of a cultural exchange and a real chance to experience Kichwa Community life from learning to speak Kichwa, cook typical food, build a knowledge about medicinal plants and to make typical jewellery from natural fibres and seeds. During the weekend they have an opportunity to spend time with the family and the community for a cultural exchange. They will also have an opportunity to relax and spend time on their own. The community can help volunteers who wish to see more of the surrounding areas by offering discounted jungle tours through a Travel Agency in Tena, to the Yasuni National Park, Limoncocha Biological Reserve,Shaman Ritual,Grand Canyon and rafting on the Jatun Yacu River. The volunteers have their own kitchen (including fridge) to prepare food. Ideally, families prefer if volunteers can stay a week or more, preferably one month.
