We’re always excited to see our guests capture incredible bird photos. Here’s a stunning shot of a Sword-billed Hummingbird by our friend, Christopher Forslund Photography

Approaching the Shot: For this Sword-billed hummingbird capture, we set up a flower in an upward position. Knowing it would have to approach from above, all we had to do is wait for it to feed while facing us and it did not disappoint! By understanding the bird’s behavior and carefully planning the setup, we were able to create a natural shot that highlights its unique long bill.
