The Sphinx is a statue of a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. It was carved from limestone, and it is likely that it was originally covered with a layer of plaster and colored, and traces of the original colors are still visible next to one of its ears
Located on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt, the Great Sphinx is also the guardian of the plateau. It is the oldest known colossal sculpture, its length is about 73.5 meters, including 15 meters the length of its front feet, its width is 19.3 meters, and its highest height from the surface of the earth is about 20 meters to the top of the head. It is believed that the ancient Egyptians built it during the reign of King Khafra (2558 BC -2532 BC), who built the Middle Pyramid in Giza.

Sun-Negm who is he?

Sun-Negm is the chief of workers working in Deir El-Medina who specializes in building royal tombs during the modern state around 1470: 1070 BC, where Sin-Negm supervised the construction of the tombs of King Seti I and Ramses II

_ His tomb was discovered in 1886 AD, and one of the Bedouins discovered it and found it intact, not stolen by thieves.. So he informed the archaeologist Gaston Maspero, who examined the contents of the tomb
_ It found 20 mummies, most of them belonging to the Sin-Najm family and others unknown, and the mummy of Sin-Najm was placed in two inner coffins of them in the form of his body, and the mummy of his wife, "I Neferti" was also found in two coffins, one of them in the form of a human being. The method is in two coffins and a mask on his head. As for the other mummies, it is not completely known about their relationship with Sun-Najm

The unfortunate thing is that what was found in the cemetery has been divided into several collections around the world, some of which are in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
Some of them are in the British Museum in England and others are in Berlin and New York ๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿ˜‘

Egyptian artificial mummification process steps.

1- Remove the brain through the nostrils. This step was performed with the aid of metal tweezers.

2- Remove most of the internal organs from a cut made on the left side of the body.

3- Remove all internal organs.

4- Let the internal organs dry.

5- Place the lungs, intestines, stomach and liver inside canopic jars.

6- Put the heart back inside the body. It was believed that emotions were stored in this organ.

7-Wash the inside of the body with wine and spices to make it pleasant.

8- Cover the body with natron (a type of salt) and leave it for 70 days. It will dry the body.

9- Fill the chest cavity with flax to make it bigger - this will give it a nicer shape.

10- Cover the body with oils and other preservatives to keep the skin soft and supple.

11- When the body is dry, cover it from head to toe in wrappings to protect it.

And then the body was wrapped in linen cloths and placed in a sarcophagus.

The Nefertiti Statue is one of the most famous ancient Egyptian antiquities. It is a 3,300-year-old painted limestone bust, sculpted by the Egyptian sculptor Thutmose in approximately 1345 BC, for Queen Nefertiti, wife of the Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten. This statue made Nefertiti one of the most famous women in the ancient world, and a symbol of feminine beauty.
It was found by a German archaeological excavation team led by Egyptologist Ludwig Borchardt in Tell el-Amarna, Egypt in 1912. The statue has been placed in several locations in Germany since it was found, and since 2009, the statue has settled in the Berlin Egyptian Museum Museum until now.
The Berlin Egyptian Museum (in German ร„gyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung) is a museum that houses some of the world's most important collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts.

Blueberry necklace!

This is one of the necklaces of Tutankhamun, which dates back more than 3300 years, and it is an exquisite necklace, made of semi-precious stones and colored glass, and in the middle is a winged scarab, and it picks up the lotus flower on one side and the papyrus flower on the other, symbolizing southern and northern Egypt. . And around both flowers, a snake.

Below it is a golden frame, to which lotus flowers and papyrus are attached. From above, we see a thin boat resting on the front feet of the scarab and carrying a wadget (the eye of Horus), and the boat is surrounded on both sides by a snake as well.

And above the eye of Horus, a crescent of gold and a silver disk with pictures of Thoth and Ra Hour, my sister, crowning King Tutankhamun... This necklace is now found with her sisters in the Grand Museum in Giza.

Here I have built, so show me how you demolish what I built.โ€
Thus he said: Engineer Ham Iono after the completion of the construction of the Great Pyramid

No one is required to build like him
Because he knew it was impossible

But he challenged the enemies of civilization to demolish its building, and over the course of thousands of years they were unable to build and were unable to destroy.

He is the genius engineer who built one of the wonders of the world, which baffled and still baffles scientists

Queen_Hatshepsut

Although Egypt is full of important temples, the Temple of Hatshepsut is one of the very distinctive temples in Egypt and the world, and this is due to its unique design, which is completely different from the rest of the temples of ancient Egypt.

The temple is a historical document, or an open book that tells the history of Egypt during the reign of one of the strongest and most beautiful women on earth, the first queen in history, Hatshepsut, who ordered the construction of the temple on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes, Luxor.

Queen Hatshepsut belongs to the eighteenth dynasty in the era of the New Kingdom, she lived between 1504-1457 BC. She came to rule Egypt as the legitimate heir to the throne because she is the eldest of her daughters, and the king, Thutmose I, did not have male children.

And because most of the priests were rejecting the idea that the king would be a woman and in her hands all the authorities, so Hatshepsut gave up her beauty and femininity in order to prove to everyone that she was worthy of ruling, and that she could achieve a great renaissance that the male kings could not achieve.

That is why Hatshepsut took off her women's clothes and wore the clothes and crowns of men's kings, and in most statues, Hatshepsut was shown with the borrowed chin of men's kings.

Although Egypt was going through one of its most difficult periods, Hatshepsut was able to impose her control over the government. It took care of strengthening the army, shipbuilding and construction, and opened quarries and mines that had been neglected for a long time.

Until now, there is a memorial plaque in the Sinai region, which is a letter from copper miners written on it thanks to the queen for her interest in opening the mines, which were closed with the beginning of the Hyksos occupation.

With her intelligence and diplomacy, Queen Hatshepsut was able to build excellent and distinguished relations with countries to cut off any war or external threat. She organized cruises for trade with the peoples of the Atlantic Ocean, the peoples of the Red Sea and the countries of the ancient East.

And Hatshepsut took care of recording and documenting all the details of her famous commercial trip to the country of Punt or "Punt", which is now called Somalia, and paid attention to engraving these details on the walls of her temple on the western mainland.

Queen Hatshepsut ruled Egypt for 22 years, and she died at the age of 48 as a result of cancer, and she was buried in her tomb in the Valley of the Kings "the world-famous cemetery in the name of KV20" and archaeologists believe that it is the first cemetery that was built in the Valley of the Kings, and that it was Originally dedicated to the burial of her father, "King Thutmose I".

The Temple of Hatshepsut was built by the engineer โ€œSenmutโ€ more than 3500 years ago, and some historians believe that there is a love relationship between the engineer โ€œSemnutโ€ and the queen โ€œHatshepsutโ€, but the most likely belief is that Hatshepsut revered and respected him and had a great status with her because of her fascination and love His art and engineering works, and that her relationship with him was a relationship of respect and appreciation and not an emotional relationship.

Esna temple
Located south of Luxor (55 kms), the old Latopolis (Iounyt or Ta-senet), has many points of interest.
Its temple in particular, dedicated to Khnum dating from the Ptolemaic period. The construction of this temple began under Ptolemy VI and ended during Roman rule. The temple is located on a ground 10 m lower than the rest of the city. All that remains today is a large hypostyle hall from the Roman period. The faรงade is from the Ptolemaic period. Restoration and clean-up work continues. The west wing of the hypostyle hall is completely cleaned. The ceilings and column capitals are absolutely stunning.
Do not hesitate to come and see the work of the restorers busy on the other wing. They do an amazing job.
