full day trip to Luxor from Hurghada

Luxor is a city in the Upper (southern) Egypt and the capital of Luxor Governorate. As the site of the Ancient Egyptian city of Thebes (the great capital of Egypt during the New Kingdom),

You will be picked up from your hotel at approximately 5:00am (exact details will be confirmed locally) by an A/C van, then head to Luxor City on the 300 Kilometers drive of three hours.

Upon your arrival to Luxor you will find our Egyptologist guide to start your day by visiting Karnak temple on the East Bank. Karnak temple, or more correctly, the complex of temples, was built more than three thousand years ago by generation after generation of pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars. You will enjoy your Lunch on the way at a local restaurant in Luxor, moving later in the day to the West Bank where you will visit the Vally of the Kings where the magnificent tombs discovered, those tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 tombs (Tut-Ankh-Amoun Tomb needs Extra Ticket).

Later on you will visit the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary, this impressive temple dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces. Finally you will visit The Colossi of Memmon (two huge statues) which are the only remaining standing statues fronting the mortuary temple of the Imonhotep III.

By afternoon you will be ready to drive back to your hotel in Hurghada after spending a great day among the ancient Egyptian monuments.

SOUND AND LIGHT SHOW AT THE PYRAMIDS OF GIZA

EgyptJoy Tours representative will pick you up from your hotel and transferred you to the Pyramids of Giza plateau to attend the Sound and Light spectacular Show of Giza Pyramids, where floodlight illuminates the three Pyramids and the Sphinx and a recorded narration is played to tell you the history of the Pyramids and their builders, the narration is accompanied with dramatic music and sound effects.
The show starts with the story of the Sphinx who has been the vigilant guardian of the city of the dead for five thousand years. The show also depicts the story of building the pyramids and relates the history of great and famous figures of ancient. After the show you will be transferred back to your hotel.
