Sakkara tombs are some of the oldest in Egypt and in the world. For example the tomb we are looking at is 2400 BC. Egyptians excelled the world in many aspects but if you ask people , the first thing that would come to their minds is the "well preserved colors". The secret behind that was extracting colors from different oxides found in nature. No chemical treatment was required but rather mixing these mashed oxides with water and resin. After Brushing colors on the wall , simply water would evaporate and resin would stick the oxide….

First time Markus and I have met was 2 years ago when we toured Giza pyramids. Today we had the opportunity to tour Sakkara necropolis with the oldest pyramid in Egypt (Step pyramid). Markus is very broad minded and fun to chat with.

One of the blessings of my job is meeting people from every where. It has been fun having Melika family in Egypt. We have been very lucky...It was a very warm sunny day. In Egypt is always smoggy but visibility on the pyramids' day was exceptionally clear. The weather was perfect.

- More than 5000 years ago, Ancient Egyptians used to celebrate the arrival of “New Year” with an “Evergreen tree” that symbolized regenerated life.
The First record of this celebration goes back to the 1st dynasty (5552 years ago)
- What was the new year called in ancient Egypt?
“wepet-rnpet” = “opening of the year”
and Egyptians greeted each other saying “wepet rnpet nefrt” = “Beautiful new year”

- was the new year begging Jan 1st?
- No..
- New Year always related to the “Nile flood” Celebration that would begin by July 9th.

-Traditions of the “Evergreen tree” have crossed the borders to Syria, then Babylon and from there to Rome.

- Coronation of Cleopatra (51 BC) happened to be at the New Year as she introduced “flower carnival” beside the “Evergreen tree”.

- With Christianity Martin Luther was the first in Germany to decorate An “Evergreen tree” that he brought into his home to encourage his wife and children through cold dark winter. The “Evergreen tree”, he said, represented the eternal love of God and the candles he decorated it with represented the star that led the Wise Men to baby Jesus. No wonder if this “Evergreen tree” then was identified with “Christmas tree”.
- In 1930s when Christmas tree was first introduced in USA, Puritans (Calvinist movement disciples) refused to join in because of the tradition’s pagan roots. Puritans even went so far as banning Christmas and closing their churches on December 25th !!
- Now the “Evergreen tree” is associated with “Christmas and New Year” ,not only in the Christian world but in many non-Christian counties  … thanks to ancient Egyptians 

-Their energy reservoir is fat they store in there humps and knees.
-Their knees' fat are good pads when camels knee in a rocky area.
-Having dual eye lashes , camels are well prepared for sandstorms.
- a camel could carry up to a 1000kg. Which makes it best for traders.
- it's also could up to 30km.
- for all these reasons deserves to be ship of the desert :)

I think any one interested in Egyptology would like to see the real faces of famous pharaohs. Especially there is a big gape between the image of a pharaoh in a statue and his mummy looking.

It is assumed that a statue of one pharaoh represented him in his best image.
Artificial intelligence technology has made it possible to recreate a live image of a pharaoh inspired from his/her statue.

In this video we could see the following kings and queens of Egypt Pharaoh according to appearance;

1- (18th dynasty)
2- (18th dynasty)
3- (Ptolemaic dynasty)
4- (19th dynasty)
5- (Amenophis) (18th dynasty)
6- (king Amos’s wife). (18th dynasty)
7- (18th dynasty).
8- (wife of Amenhotep III) (18th dynasty)
9- . (18th dynasty)
10- (18th dynasty)

And I do not exaggerate when I say ; “You could see these faces in Egypt streets today”.

After leaving the site Taner was stressed out discovering his wallet was lost.
We went to entrance with scarce hope it could be found in the middle of the desert.
Taner’s face brightened when police officer at the ticket office contacted his colleague at the 3rd pyramids told him that a wallet was found.
We drove inside the sightseeing to the 3rd pyramid where we found officer Rabe3.
Officer Rabe3 asked for description, color, contents of the wallet to make sure it was Tanor’s .
From the photos ,You could tell how happy Tener is finding his wallet,
Thanks to police officer Rabea3
