The visitors’ hall at Kom Ombo Temple in Aswan Governorate was opened after its development with the aim of increasing its capacity to accommodate a larger number of visitors and making the entry process easier for tourists.

This came as a continuation of a series of measures implemented by the Ministry to improve the tourism experience for visitors to Egyptian tourist destinations, part of the National Strategy for Tourism Development in Egypt, which the Ministry launched last November.

Forever is Now’ Exhibition Returns at the Pyramids.

Art D’Égypt celebrates the opening of Forever is Now III, the third annual desert exhibition backdropped by the Pyramids of Giza. This landmark event, founded by Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, is the first and only contemporary art exhibition to take place at the iconic UNESCO World Heritage site in Egypt.

This year’s sculpture exhibition brings together fourteen local and international artists, including JR and Sabine Marcelis.

Through their diverse practices, the artists trace the continuity of themes that stretch from our ancient past to the present day, while paying homage to the continued ingenuity of human civilization.

Forever is Now III by Art D’Égypte will run from October 26th until November 18th, 2023.

The website had recommended a set of activities that could be enjoyed in Egypt, like Nile cruises from Luxor to Aswan, safaris, and enjoying the astonishing beaches the country has. It also put the light on a lot of more natural and historical activities that tourists may enjoy and experience in the rich culture of Egypt.

Egypt launches project transforming Sharm El-Sheikh into green city

The Environment Ministry announced on Monday that it has officially launched the project to transform Sharm El-Sheikh into a green city, in cooperation with South Sinai Governorate and the United Nations Development Program, during the opening of the preliminary workshop for the project.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the Environment Minister, the Head of the Environmental Affairs Agency Ali Abu-Senna said that the Egyptian government has taken a set of measures to implement sustainable city concepts in Sharm El-Sheikh.

This comes parallel to developing the idea of the “Green Sharm” project, in order to transform Sharm El-Sheikh into a green city.

He explained that many infrastructure and service projects planned and implemented on a sustainable basis have been established, in addition to the recent implementation of biodiversity conservation measures in light of the supportive policies approved by several ministries.

The workshop aims to officially launch the Sharm El-Sheikh Green City project, discuss its main issues, general framework, strategy, and implementation plan, and ways of cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure the achievement of all main goals, he explained.

International fashion designer Michael Cinco announced that his latest fashion collection, which will be presented as part of the New Alamein Festival for the first time in Egypt, takes inspiration from ancient Egypt.

Cinco expressed his happiness to display his designs for the first time in the country, having visited several times already.

The co-founder of the Michael Cinco brand Sayed Ali said during a press conference for the fashion show that since the moment the Michael Cinco brands in Dubai for luxury fashion, ready-to-wear, and jewelry were established, Cinco has been dreaming of launching the brand in Egypt and therefore he is very happy with this opportunity.

The fashion show is followed by a two-day exhibition that brings together the most prominent young talents in the fashion world in Egypt through discussion sessions.

Foreign Yachts Now Granted Visas Within 30 Minutes at Egyptian Ports.

A new online portal has been launched by the Ministry of Transport, allowing foreign tourist yachts to apply for tourist port visas electronically, and receive them within just 30 minutes, in comparison to the previous wait times of between 15 to 30 days.

The portal allows applicants to upload all necessary documentation, including yacht and passenger information, arrival times, chosen port or marina, and the tourist program.

The visas will be paid for in US dollars. Yachts are also no longer restricted to leaving from the port in which they arrived, which will allow for greater flexibility in planning itineraries and exploring all that Egypt has to offer.

In addition, the Ministry of Transport has established a uniform tariff for toll fees at all berths, passenger stations, and tourist ports under its jurisdiction. They have also released a comprehensive and standardized code for the establishment and management of marinas and ports, providing detailed information on available mooring capacities and communication channels with ports and marinas.

To further expedite the entry process, the portal also provides links to Egypt's Ministry of Interior's Passports, Immigration, and Nationality Administration. If the yacht's itinerary includes crossing the international navigational course of the Suez Canal, the online portal provides a link to the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) website to facilitate the necessary procedures.

Egypt to establish a river port in Aswan to accommodate the largest number of cruise ships.

The Inspection Department of the al-Silsilah Archeological Area in Aswan Governorate announced the development of the al-Silsilah area, placing it on the tourist map of Aswan Governorate as a river marina that will accommodate as many cruise ships as possible.

The Department said in a Sunday statement, that the project has been long-awaited, coming after planning and several development proposals alongside many demands that lasted for four years.

The department added that the Nile Research Institute started the project by studying the work done on developing riprap shoreline structures across a distance of approximately 170 meters, extending the old ripraps as a prelude to starting the berth work.

It also set technical and financial measurements in preparation for implementation.
