Day 1: Arrival to Cairo - Giza Pyramids - Egyptian Museum – Cairo
Arrival to Cairo by your own international flight. Meet and assistance by our
representative in Cairo Airport. your guide will accompany you to the great
three Pyramids of Egypt: Khufu, Khafra, and Menkaure together with the
biggest carved colossal statue on the earth: Great Sphinx, the guardian of
the area. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant (Beverages are extra) Then, marvel at the Egyptian Museum in the famous Tahrir Square; it
houses ancient Egyptians Antiquities like the treasures of King Tutankhamon and the Golden Mask (the Royal Mummies Room is not included and need extra admission). Transfer by A/C vehicle to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo – Domestic Flights to Aswan - High Dam - Philae Island - Aswan
After breakfast in the hotel, Transfer for a domestic flight to Aswan (included).
Transfer to visit the High Dam and Temple of Isis in Philae Island that was center
of pilgrimage in ancient Egypt and the cult of Isis. it is one of the most
beautiful and most preserved temples in Egypt. Enjoy a fun and cultural tour
from Aswan to Luxor. Return back to the Cruise. Lunch on board.
Dinner is provided on board. Overnight on Cruise.
Day 3: Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor
Today, transfer to visit the Kom Ombo Temple that is devoted to God Hor-Wer
(Horus the elder) and Sobek (the crocodile god) according to ancient
Egyptian believes. The temple is unique for its double design as it is divided
between the two gods. Continue to transfer to visit Edfu temple. Leisure
on board. you reach Edfu) to visit the Temple of Horus which was dedicated to
the falcon god Horus, rebuilt in the Ptolemaic period between 237 and 57 BC.
Arrival to Luxor. Then, you reach the famous city Luxor that contains a large
amount of ancient Egyptian monuments. Return back to the Cruise. Lunch on
board. Dinner is provided on board. Overnight on Cruise.
Day 4: Luxor- West Luxor- East Luxor - Luxor
Early, in the morning, after breakfast. Then, prepare yourself to visit the
West of Luxor that includes the Valley of the Kings on the western bank of
the Nile; it is the necropolis of great kings of Thebes of the 18th, 19th, and 20th
dynasties. You can visit three royal tombs (please note that the Tomb of
Tutankhamun requires an extra ticket). Then, you will reach to the Two Colossi
of Memnon which belong to the Pharaoh Amenhotep III in the 18thdynasty.
Each colossal measures 19.5 m in height and carved from single block of
quartzite stone. After that, visit El Deir El Bahari Temple of Queen Hatshepsut that was built of limestone with great design and fine decorations. Return back to the Cruise. Lunch on board. You will visit the Karnak Temple on the eastern bank of the Nile. It is a huge complex of sanctuaries dedicated mainly to the Theban Triad Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. It was built by several kings like Senusret I, Amenhotep III, Ramesses II, Queen Hatshepsut, and Tuthmosis III and others during several times. The complex includes several pylons, courtyards, columns, obelisks, sanctuaries, and the sacred lake. Then, you will visit the illuminated Temple of Luxor; a very impressive ancient temple built by Amenhotep III (around 1420 BC).
Day 5: Luxor – Hurghada (the Red Sea) Full Board
Check out and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Hurghada (297 km) on the Red Sea, one the most beautiful resorts of the Red Sea region. Hurghada is a paradise for amateurs of diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and other varieties of water sports. It is very well known for its beauty and richness in marine flora and fauna. The sea water is between deep blue crystal and turquoise in other areas. Arrival to Hurghada. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Hurghada on Full Board basis.
Day 6: Hurghada (the Red Sea) Full Board
Free at leisure in the resort in Hurghada for sunbathing, exploring, shopping, or taking up some of the many water sports activities that Hurghada has to offer.
Day 7: Hurghada – Cairo (Breakfast)
After breakfast in the hotel, check out and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo. Transfer to the hotel. Check in. Overnight in Cairo. (Lunch at local restaurant).
Day 8: Sunday - Cairo – Coptic and Islamic Cairo with Khan El Khalili Bazar (Breakfast + Lunch)
Breakfast in the morning. Full Day tour (8 hours) to discover Coptic and Islamic Cairo. You will start by visiting the Coptic Christian Churches in Old Cairo District. Visit to the amazing Hanging Church of the Virgin Mary, which was built over two towers of an ancient Roman fortress in the 4th century and renovated several times later. Continue to visit the Church of St. Sergius known as Abu Serga Church by the locals, built on top of the Grotto of the Holy Family. Lunch at a local restaurant (Beverages are extra). Then after you will visit the Saladin Citadel, which played a significant role of the political life specially during the Ayyubid and Mameluke Periods and was considered the Rule Center for more than 700 years. It was built by Salah Al-Din in the Ayyubid Dynasty to fortify Cairo against the crusaders with several gates. The citadel is famous for the Mosque of Muhammad Ali that has magnificent design and decoration; besides several buildings show the architecture of Ottoman influence. Later you will visit Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili Bazar. transferred by coach to Cairo Airport, then embark on your next destination.
