Dahab has just been named as being home to one of the best beaches in the Middle East by National Geographic. The list which includes Turkey’s resort village, Oludeniz, Israel, the West Bank and Jordan’s shores on the Dead Sea, Lebanon’s beach town Tyre or Sour, Dubai’s Kite Beach, Oman’s Salalah, Cyprus’ Nissi, Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island, and Tunisia’s small island Djerba, places Dahab at the top of the list.

Located on the coast of the Red Sea, Dahab was originally a Bedouin fishing village in Sinai. Over the years, however, the coastal city has seen divers and tourists alike come from all over the world to enjoy its coral reefs, considered to be one of the healthiest within the region and its diving sites, namely the Blue Hole. Over 100 meters deep, the Blue Hole is reserved for advanced divers due to the its dangerous nature. However, for those who aren't necessarily thrill seekers, Dahab boasts of a range of natural protectorates with well preserved coral reef and wild life.

With natural beauties like the Blue Hole and Abu Ghalum’s protectorates, Dahab's Red Sea reefs are considered to be some of 'the most resilient in the face of climate change', according to National Geographic.

Not an easy task in the Summer when the temperature can rise above 35C! After the Sunset prayer everybody joins in to have breakfast together. No matter what nationality or religion you have, you are welcome to join us!
