Jara Cave. It is considered a natural masterpiece and one of the most attractive areas in the oases. It is located 180 km southeast of Farafra in a rugged mountainous area and is 40 million years old. It is considered one of the rarest caves in the world, and it is characterized by the presence of limestone deposits hanging from its ceiling up and down in the form of tree leaves, and others in the form of artichoke leaves, and on its surface there is a “lamb” that resembles the art of delicate drawing on glass or metal. The main entrance is located at ground level at a depth of 25 meters, but the official discovery of it was in 1874.
