From its 187 meters, the Cairo tower offers the most amazing panoramic views of the Egyptian capital. It is advised to go up to the tower's circular observation deck in the late morning or late afternoon for the clearest views of the city. You'll also find a restaurant at the top of the tower. Occasionally, the restaurant revolves around the tower's main axis. The tower was designed by the Egyptian architect, Naoum Chebib. Its completion took 5 years, from 1956 to 1961.

Weather and the Best Time to visit Egypt..

-The weather in Egypt is something you will want to consider although the majority of the year has pretty high temperatures. The high season, and the most popular time to visit, is the winter. December through February has warm daytime temperatures and cool weather by night.
Shoulder season occurs from October-November and March-April. This time of year is very hot during the day, and so it is best to plan activities for the morning and evening.

May through September temperatures can be excruciatingly hot, so I don’t recommend visiting during those months. There are two things people are typically thinking of when trying to figure out what to wear in Egypt. The first is the temperature. Egypt is a desert which means most of the things on your packing list will be for warm, dry weather.

The second and bigger consideration, is the type of clothing that is appropriate for a conservative country like Egypt. The good news is that modest clothing for Egypt doesn’t mean that you have to be fully covered all the time.
Since the sun can be very strong, sunscreen and a hat is essential. Closed toe shoes work the best when you are out touring dusty monuments. A mask will protect you from germs and also help with the dust.

Typically this is a trip where you move around a lot so it will make your life easier if you can pack everything for Egypt in a carry-on suitcase. Since all your clothing will be lightweight, it will be easy to pack in a smaller bag. Compression packing cubes can help you fit everything into a smaller suitcase as well.

-Alexandria may be the second-biggest city in Egypt today, but that’s the least of its claims to fame,The namesake city of Alexander the Great, the capital of Ptolemaic Egypt, the once largest city in the world, the battleground of Cleopatra and the Romans, the home of two ancient wonders of the world and a leading center of learning… those are just a few things that make Alexandria a city worth visiting. And we haven’t even gotten started on its modern history!Alexandria today is a faded version of what was once called ‘the jewel of the Mediterranean, and the modern city sometimes imposes on its old dated beauty, but it’s still a quirky mix of old and new/beautiful and ugly that’s worth seeing and learning about.

In the 14th century, the then-Sultan Barquq’s (his mosque is one of the 10 most beautiful mosques in Egypt) Master of Stables, Jaharkas El Khalili, built a large caravanserai (khan) where Khan El Khalili now stands -- it was essentially a building that housed merchants and their different goods. In later years, other sultans added their own khans/wekalas (another word for caravanserai) until the whole area became a center for trade, both local and foreign, in the late 15th century.
Khan El Khalili today is an integral part of Old Cairo, and the architecture and surrounding areas like Moez Street are reason enough to go (a UN study found that Moez Street has the highest concentration of medieval Islamic architectural treasures in the world). This area, called Historic Cairo, is one of Egypt's seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Could you observe this deep sleeping royal sculpture?
Is it possible for human hands to make such a wonderful sculpture?
Did you know that when this statue was discovered in 1820, "Muhammad Ali Pasha", the governor of Egypt at the time, gifted the statue to the British Museum, but the museum apologized for not accepting the gift despite the statue's magnificence, but they couldn't find a way to move it because of its weight and size
The colossus weighs 100 tons, you can imagine how it was moved into place at the time of Ramses II.They also found correspondence on the face of the statue, and in dimensions that make it difficult to sculpt by hand, and that advanced tools were also used for its manufacture, a lot of these questions will jump into your mind to be answered !! And even more secrets yet to be revealed.

The Great Temple of Abu Simbel, located in Nubia near the southern border of Egypt, is among the most magnificent monuments in Egypt, King Ramses II of the Nineteenth Dynasty was completely cut down in the mountain, around 1264 BC.
The temple is built with such precision that the sun's rays enter the temple two days a year, on February 22 and October 22, and pass through the main hall, illuminating the statues located deep in the temple, these dates are believed to coincide with the coronation and birth of Ramses II.
Located to the north, another rock temple known as the little temple, is dedicated to the goddess Hathor and the great royal wife of Ramses II, Queen Nefertari.
The two temples were moved from their original location in 1968 after the construction of the Aswan High Dam, which threatened to flood them, and the transfer was completed thanks to international efforts led by UNESCO, and the temple was admitted to the list of World Heritage sites in 1979..
