This marble statue depicts a standing-striding royal man with an Egyptianized style and was found at Hadrian's villa (Tivoli), Italy. Roman period, circa 135 CE.

Brilliant details uncovered recently following the cleaning and restoration works carried out by a joint Egyptian/German mission at the Temple of Esna. It is located on the west bank of the Nile, some 55 kilometers south of Luxor.

The construction of this temple began under the reign of King Ptolemy V Epiphanes (205-180 BCE during the Ptolemaic Period) and continued during the Roman Period. It was dedicated to an androgynous, nameless, omnipotent creator god, which manifested itself as both the male god Khnum/Khnum-Ra and the female deity Neith. The temple was also dedicated to several other deities.
