Luxor Temple,Egypt

Alexandria is a Mediterranean port city in Egypt. During the Hellenistic period, it was home to a lighthouse ranking among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World as well as a storied library. Today the library is reincarnated in the disc-shaped, ultramodern Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The city also has Greco-Roman landmarks, old-world cafes and sandy beaches. Its 15th-century seafront Qaitbay Citadel is now a museum.
Alexandria has played a pivotal role in Mediterranean trade ever since the city was founded in c.332 BC by Alexander (known as both ‘the Macedonian’ and ‘the Great’.) The second largest Egyptian city, after Cairo, and one of the largest ports on the Mediterranean coast, Alexandria was a major centre of civilization in the ancient world, controlling commerce between Egypt and the eastern Mediterranean, and has continued throughout its long history to act as a vital crossing point for merchants and their trade on the maritime routes between Asia and Europe.
The city was constructed on the site of an ancient settlement, dating back to 1,500 BC, and was designed by Alexander’s personal architect, Dinocrates. Fed by the waters of the Lake Maryut and the Nile, the port of Alexandria also benefitted from the safe anchorage conditions found off the island of Pharos, making it an attractive and practical point of transit for merchants travelling between the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. The sack of Tyre by Alexander’s troops, also in 332 BC, further directed Mediterranean traffic towards Alexandria, which became the new centre of trade between Europe, Arabia and India. As such, the city rapidly expanded to become one of the most important cities in the ancient world.

The Temple of Kom Ombo,Egypt

The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double temple in the town of Kom Ombo in Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt. It was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC. Some additions to it were later made during the Roman period.
The temple is unique for its dedication to two different deities: the local crocodile-headed god Sobek, and the first "god of the Kingdom", the falcon-headed god Horus the Elder (also called Haroeris). This double dedication was deliberate. Not only is it architecturally duplicated, with two sets of courts, hypostyle halls and sanctuaries, the twin temple is symbolic of the local and universalist themes that the two different deities represented.
While much of Kom Ombo temple has been destroyed over the millennia, it has been reconstructed in part, and it is still home to a number of well-preserved and fascinating reliefs, including some intricately carved columns and friezes divided between the two gods. The layout of the complex - apart from being a double temple - is similar to that of the Temple of Edfu.
Until very recently, the River Nile was infested with crocodiles of which the Ancient Egyptians were naturally scared. However, there was an ancient belief that if they worshipped the animal, it wouldn't attack them, and at Kom Ombo there was also a small pool in which the reptiles were raised. One of the highlights of the visit to this temple is the Crocodile Museum, where some of the many hundreds of mummified crocodiles found in the area are exhibited along with intriguing explanations.

Temple of Karnak,Egypt

The Temple of Karnak was believed to be the spot where creation began. They also believed it was a point of interaction between the god Amun-Ra and Egyptians. It is important to Egypt's cultural history because it was a place of worship and provides clues about the ancient Egyptian religion.
The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak,comprises a vast mix of temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings near Luxor, Egypt. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I (reigned 1971–1926 BCE) in the Middle Kingdom (c. 2000–1700 BCE) and continued into the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305–30 BCE), although most of the extant buildings date from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut ("The Most Selected of Places") and the main place of worship of the 18th Dynastic Theban Triad, with the god Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes, and in 1979 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List along with the rest of the city.The Karnak complex gives its name to the nearby, and partly surrounded, modern village of El-Karnak,north of Luxor.

Philae Temple

The Philae Temple is a gem in the crown of the river Nile that stands majestically on Agilkia Island, southern Egypt. Mortuary temple of Hatshepsut

The mortuary temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture.
The temple was built into a cliff face, and its design is a mix of Ancient Egyptian and Classical Greek styles. The result is a truly unique building that looks, unlike any other temple in Egypt.As you wander around the temple, you can't help but be impressed by its scale and complexity. Even if you're not an expert on Ancient Egyptian architecture, it's impossible not to appreciate the skill and artistry that went into building this incredible monument. The temple is located in a picturesque valley surrounded by mountains. It's easy to forget that you're in Egypt, standing in front of the temple - it feels like you've been entirely transported to another world.
The temple is situated at the foot of a cliff, and two giant statues of sphinxes flank its entrance. The main structure consists of three levels: a courtyard and an arcade. The first level contains a series of chapels dedicated to various gods, including Hathor and Anubis. The second level includes a large hypostyle hall with eight columns, while the third contains an open court with a sanctuary.

The temple walls are decorated with reliefs depicting scenes from Hatshepsut's life, including her coronation and her expedition to Punt (modern-day Somalia). There are also depictions of gods such as Amun-Ra, Horus, Anubis, and Hathor. In addition to these reliefs, paintings on some of the walls depict scenes from daily life in ancient Egypt.
