Today, a friend asked me "𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗯 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲?"

Once I started telling her why I think Luxor is the best place for a hub, I could not stop anymore. Here's what I told her:

Luxor is full of the most fascinating ancient history, so many stories about the pharaohs and queens, so many tombs and temples, statues and sites, you cannot prevent being captivated by all of it.

Also, the Nile, the Desert, the Red Sea, Aswan and the mighty damm, Abu Simbel, the Sinai Mountains, the cities Alex, Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Dahab, Nuweiba, St. Catherine, the mediterranian coastline up north, Siwa and the the other oasis' Bahariya, Dakhla, Farafra, Kharga - you can spend a year in that country and you have not seen everything, nature is just abundant! And an incredibly interesting culture!

Also, Luxor is equipped to accommodate tourists, there are good doctors and hospitals, tons of great food-places and plenty of local events to attend. People love it when guests come to their weddings and traditional stick dances and horse races.

I could go on and on for hours - best thing is, you come and see it for yourself! We will sit around a campfire in the desert with the stars above us like the Bedu do and make jokes and tell stories until deep into the night... (yeah, I am a sand mouse, a desert rat😊)

Hey there, fellow weather watchers! Today, we're diving into the fascinating world of rainfall changes in Egypt over the past 10 years. Get ready to ride the meteorological rollercoaster as we explore the highs, lows, and everything in between!

Picture this: Egypt, a land kissed by the sun and wrapped in desert sands. But wait, what's that? Raindrops dancing on the ancient pyramids? Believe it or not, rainfall in Egypt has been a hot topic lately. Over the last decade, we've seen some surprising shifts in the weather patterns that keep the Nile Valley lush and green.

Back in the day, Egypt was known for its predictable weather – scorching sun by day, clear skies by night. But Mother Nature loves to keep us on our toes, and in recent years, she's been mixing things up. We're talking unexpected showers in the desert and storms brewing where you least expect them.

So, what's causing all this commotion? Well, it turns out that climate change is playing a starring role. As temperatures rise around the globe, weather patterns everywhere are doing a little dance of their own. In Egypt, this means more extreme weather events, from flash floods to freak thunderstorms.

But hold onto your umbrellas, because the changes in Egypt's rainfall don't just affect the weather – they impact everything from agriculture to infrastructure. Farmers are having to rethink their planting strategies, while city planners are scrambling to adapt to the new normal.

Do you have an idea WHERE and WHY a half hour gush of rainfall would have a devastating effect? Write your answers into the comments.

But hey, it's not all doom and gloom. Rainfall changes in Egypt also bring opportunities for innovation and adaptation. From water conservation techniques to new ways of harnessing renewable energy, Egyptians are rising to the challenge and finding creative solutions to weather the storm.

So, what does the future hold for rainfall in Egypt? Well, one thing's for sure – expect the unexpected! As climate change continues to shape our world, staying tuned in to the weather forecast and being prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws our way is more important than ever.

And there you have it, folks – a whirlwind tour of rainfall changes in Egypt over the past decade. From desert drizzles to torrential downpours, it's been quite the ride! So next time you see those rain clouds rolling in, remember to embrace the rain, because you never know what adventures it might bring.

Are you wondering like me, what the weather situation was in ancient Egypt?
I encourage you to investigate, we'll talk about this next week.
Keep your eyes on the skies, weather warriors, and stay curious!

Yours sincerely,
