For film and culture activities in Tenerife: The Pearls of Polish Cinema cycle will close on Thursday, March 2, at 5:00 p.m., with the masterclass Restoration and digital post-production in cinema, given by Jędrzej Sabliński (CEO of DI Factory, responsible for the project Scorsese presents: the Masterpieces of Polish Cinema).

Jędrzej Sabliński - CEO of the Polish company Di Factory, market leader in film post-production and digital image processing in Poland. He began his professional career working at Eastman Kodak as a sales director for film products. He has been dedicated to post-production for 20 years, he was a pioneer in implementing digital treatment processes, such as Digital Intermediate, digital color correction, or digital restoration of movies in cinematic resolution. He supervised the digital image processing of more than 120 fiction films (including Katyń by Andrzej Wajda, which used DI in 4K resolution for the first time in Europe, or Oscar-nominated productions such as Cold war , by Paweł Pawlikowski and EO, by Jerzy Skolimowski) and the digital restoration of more than 150 titles, including Manuscript Found in Zaragoza, by J. W. Has, Pharaoh, by J. Kawalerowicz, or The Land of Great Promise, by A. Wajda. He has participated in multiple seminars and congresses, IBC in Amsterdam, FMX in Stuttgart, IDIFF in Paris.

Between 1-12 March there is a carnival happening in municipality of Granadilla de Abona, some of it in front of Casa VivaQi Tenerife. Enjoy!

The Historic Village of Granadilla de Abona is ready for ‘Around the world in a Carnival'

- This Wednesday, March 1, in Los Abrigos from 5:30 p.m., the carnival parade will depart from the Plaza de Aguadulce to the central square of village. Including children's murga and a draw and presentation of the candidates for queen of the Carnival.

- 3 & 4 March: Granadilla Town/in front of our house
On Friday, March 3, the Grand Gala of Election of the Queen, in the park of Los Hinojeros, from 8pm. Local groups, the Beanky Ballet and El Morocho will also take the stage.

One of the most popular events is the Gran Coso Apotheosis del Carnaval on Saturday, March 4. From 5:30 p.m., the parade of masks and the street party are scheduled to start, running through the main streets of the town, from Mencey de Abona Avenue to Los Hinojeros Park.
At the end there will be a concert/party in Los Hinojeros Park with Sergio Aranda de Ráfaga. Dress up:)

- 10 March, San Isidro:
The murguero meeting of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is on Friday, March 10, in the Plaza de la Cultura de San Isidro, where the children's murga Los Retorciditos will perform, as well as Mamelucos, Klandestinas and Los Diablos Locos.

- 11 March, El Medano:
On Saturday, March 11, comes the busiest act of the carnestolendas: the IV edition of the Day Carnival in El Médano, which will start from 11.00 am with a parade, children's workshops and children's and pet costume contest, while in the afternoon, the central square will host, from 4.30 pm to 3.30 am, different performances by DJs Renzzo 'El Selector' and Fabrizio Salgado; Neo Pinto, Atlantic Orchestra of La Gomera, Miss Band, El Vega Life and the orchestras Acapulco, Maracaibo and the Dominican Combo.

12 March: Granadilla de Abona/ in front of Casa VivaQi

The end and finishing touch of the carnival comes with the burial of the sardine, on Sunday, March 12, from the Ramón y Cajal square (El Calvario) to Los Hinojeros Park; point in which will begin 'The dance of widows', which will be enlivened with the orchestra La Sabrosa, as well as a sardine in the same enclosure.
