You can find Mick leading our bike tours as well as in the shop, where he'll help you plan the perfect bike route on your rental bike.🚲 And he's always got time for a good chat! 😉

However, you won't find him here on Saturday mornings! Mick runs a 'Vibe & Thrive' Boot Camp in Parque de Huelin- just a 10 minute bike ride from our shop. So warm up on a bike before the workout and make some new friends while in Malaga.🚲💪

"LA COCHINITA" 🚂

If you've ever cycled our east coast 🚲 route, you will have cycled through a series of tunnels in the cliffs between La Cala del Moral and Rincón de la Victoria.

Between 1908 - 1968, a train known locally as 'La Cochinita', travelled through these tunnels en route from Malaga to Velez-Malaga- a 40 km trip.

The trainline no longer exists. These days the tunnels are for pedestrian and cyclists' use only🚲, but you can imagine the old train with the help of the very cool mural painted on the rock between the tunnels. 🚂🚂

One of the most talented artists I have known and beloved personal friend of mine Enrique Linaza has very sadly lost his brief battle with cancer.💔

I always jokingly called Enrique the 'Málaga Bike Resident Artist'. Not only was he the designer of our unique Picassiano bull-bike logo but he has also left his mark on the streets of Malaga with the amazing murals of the city depicted on the five shutters of our shop.🎨

Enrique is one of the most positive, generous, kindest people I have had the pleasure to know. I'll miss him forever.🥲

Fortunately, I am surrounded by his amazing art work both at MALAGA BIKE and in my home as constant reminders of him and his beautiful spirit. 💜

Every February, the CycleCities network holds their annual Symposium. And every year, one of our partners hosts the event in their home city. This year we all met up in beautiful Bilbao in the north of Spain.

El Palo Beach is just 7 kms from the MALAGA BIKE shop. A cycle out to this old fisherman's neighborhood is a "must-do" bike ride. Full of cute little houses, traditional wooden fishing boats on the beach and restaurants galore, it's a delightful place to visit!

Seeing is believing! 👀 Easter Week in Malaga is a feast for the senses.

Between 6 and 10 of the religious brotherhoods process their enormous elaborate 'thrones' through the city streets every day during Semana Santa/ Easter Week. It's absolutely incredible to see! 🥰

Even after living in Malaga for 20 years now, I am still in awe of the whole spectacle. 😍

LA ROSALEDA: home to the beloved local football team of Malaga CF. Even though the team was relegated to the 3rd division last year, it still has a really strong fan base. Follow the bike path from the MALAGA BIKE shop to the stadium- maybe even take a guided tour of the stadium. They are very bike friendly and will let you park your bike inside. (Don't try this at Old Trafford!) 😜⚽️
