I never thought I would be so happy to see a yellow arrow. When walking the Camino all you have to do is walk, enjoy the views and follow the signs. When you don't see one in a while, you start to worry, but soon a new one appears!

Today we leave Asturias behind and enter the region of Galicia. New landscapes, new language, lovely people and great octopus! 🐙

4th day of our walk. Today was a long walk (27 kms), with several hills, so it t**e 7 hours to reach La Pola de Allande.
Hard work but worth it. Expectacular views.

Visiting Asturias always means eating well. The Menú del Día at Casa Pachon was the best way to end the walk. A soup, mushrooms with garlic, cod, dessert, coffee, wine or water for just 14 Euros. You can't beat it. Also a great way to mingle with locals

Today we start walking the Camino Primitivo route, which takes you from the city of Oviedo to Santiago de Compostela, via the amazing city of Lugo. November is low season, so there are only a handfull of pilgrims. Enjoyed amazing blue sky and really warm temperatures. A real treat at tjis time of the year in Northern Spain. 🍁🌿🍂🌲🌰

We understand that some of you might be concerned about traveling to Barcelona due to recent local protests. We're here to reassure you that the situation is under control, and there's no need to worry about your safety while visiting this incredible city.
On July 6th, there was an isolated anti-tourism demonstration involving around 2000 participants. This protest does not reflect the general sentiment of the people of Barcelona. Unfortunately, some videos circulated on social media showing demonstrators with water pistols bothering visitors on the terraces of Barceloneta. While this incident was unfortunate, it was a one-time event and does not represent the city's overall atmosphere.

You need to know that this was an Isolated Incident: The protest was a singular event. There are no more demonstrations planned.
Barcelona continues to be a safe and beautiful destination. The city authorities are vigilant, and your safety is their priority.
Barcelona is indeed busy, especially this year, but it’s not different from other bustling European cities. The vibrant atmosphere, cultural richness, and numerous attractions draw visitors from around the world, making it a lively and dynamic place to explore.
