One Million Ways
by Ullie Kaye

There are one million ways to change the world.

Build a sanctuary for broken things.
Or people.
Or creatures that fly.
Or slither.
Or swim.
Or crawl.

Be a safe place.
A sounding board.
A listening ear.
A shoulder to cry on.

Show them all the gold that is gleaming through their cracks.
Then let them see your own slivers too.

Take the stars and bundle them up into your pockets,
so that on those days where they need it the most,
you can pull them out like patio lanterns and light up the sky.
Fireworks.
Firesides.
Fireflies.

Be music to those who have never heard words that sound like galaxies awakening ...
Like souls quaking.
Like love breaking every barrier.
Every definition.
And every possibility.

Above all,
if you really want to change the world,
be willing to look inside the deepest chambers of your own,
small heart.

That is,
after all,
where the wonder begins.

"They say beauty comes from a spirit that has weathered many hardships in life and somehow continues with resilience.
Grace can be found in a soul who ages softly, even amid the tempest.
I think the loveliest by far is the one whose gentle heart bears a hundred scars from caring, yet still finds a way to pick up the lamp, one more time, to light the way for love ..."

Happy birthday, sweet Yoli!
And, thank you for being the way you are, always taking care of each other and always going the extra mile for others well-being.
Thanks for being always a beautiful beacon and with a beautiful and loving smile!!
Without you, Ultreia y Suseia wouldn’t have been born and we are all forever in debt!
Celebrate yourself, dear Yolanda Fernández !!

"We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own.
When we extend kindness, wisdom, or guidance, the act itself reflects back on us, illuminating our way as well.
By helping others find their direction, we often discover clarity for our own journeys.
Every act of sharing light strengthens the glow within us, proving that in giving, we also receive."
Ben Sweetland

“For those with eyes to see, the sacred exists all around us, waiting to be discovered in the seemingly mundane. It is the sacredness of everyday life that connects us to something greater, allowing us to transcend the ordinary and glimpse the divine. Each ritual, each symbol, speaks to us of the eternal, reminding us that the boundaries between the spiritual and the material are not fixed but permeable.”

~ Mircea Eliade

Happy Thanksgiving to all our dear Friends from the US and Canada!
We can't express in words our gratitude of having you all in our Camino!
Much love to you all,

Be grateful for the kindly friends that walk along your way,
Be grateful for the skies of blue that smile from day to day,
Be grateful for the health you own, the work you find to do,
For round about you there are those less fortunate than you.

Be grateful for the growing trees, the roses soon to bloom,
The tenderness of kindly hearts that shared your days of gloom,
Be grateful for the morning dew, the grass beneath your feet,
The soft caresses of your babes and all their laughter sweet.

Acquire the grateful habit, learn to see how blessed you are,
How much there is to gladden life, how little life to mar!
And what if rain shall fall today and you with grief are sad,
Be grateful that you can recall the joys that you have had.

~ Edgar Albert Guest

We can't hide a smile when a good friend from Granny's Guest House send us this picture from a presentation of the Turismo Centro de Portugal where we are mentioned as a good example of a Sustainable and Regenerative Travel Agency.

We must thank the Turismo do Centro de Portugal and our friend Luis, our fantastic team and all the incredible people that in the last 10 years have been helping us on this fantastic journey called Ultreia y Suseia

And, call us crazy but we can't wait for the 2025's season to begin with all the news we already have to share!!!

I honestly think it's the thing I like most, is to laugh.
It cures a multitude of ills.
It's probably the most important thing in a person.”

Maybe the real happy ending is falling in love with the simplest parts of life.

It’s savoring that first sip of coffee in the morning, or losing yourself in the smell of freshly baked bread. It’s driving down familiar roads with the windows down, letting the air mess up your hair while your favorite song fills the car. It’s lingering on a quiet afternoon, reading the pages of a book you’ve put off for too long, letting each word wrap around you like an old friend. These moments — the ones that seem so ordinary — hold a kind of magic that fills the cracks we sometimes forget are there.

And maybe, just maybe, it’s finding a piece of joy in small things we often take for granted. Like the laughter that comes out of nowhere, shared with a stranger in a grocery store aisle. Or the comfort of a cozy night at home, wrapped up in a blanket, watching a show you’ve seen a hundred times but still brings a smile to your face.

It’s these little things that pull us back to life, that remind us of just how blessed we are, not because everything is perfect but because we find beauty in what we already have.

And, our last group of the season arrived safely to Santiago, today.
It was an incredible season and a true honor to have the opportunity of walking towards Santiago with so many wonderful persons!!

A very warm thanks to everyone who helped along the way, with special gratitude to , and the drivers Vitor and João.

We'll be taking some rest now, but count to meet us again on the Camino soon. Yes, we can't help it!!!

The most complete and true happiness comes in moments when you feel right there, completely present, with no ideas about good and bad, right and wrong - just a sense of open heart and open mind.

Being is Enough

The art of simply being— not more, not less—is the heart of the world’s quiet joy. We rush to do, to solve, as if life is something to conquer or complete—but in the softness of morning light, in the quiet breath between tasks, we find the truth beneath the noise.
To be human is not always to strive— it’s to pause, to feel the world unfold around us, within us— just being, just alive.
To be here, in the fullness of your own breath, to let go of the endless lists and measures, is a kind of freedom we often forget is ours. We are creatures of light, of feeling, made to simply be, in the grace of the moment.
Let the rest of the world keep its rushing. Find a moment and feel this stillness, as it says—you’re here, and that’s more than enough.
Tarn Ellis

"To detach yourself elegantly from the world; to give contour and grace to sadness; a solitude in style; a walk that gives cadence to memories; stepping towards the intangible; with the breath in the trembling margins of things; the past reborn in the overflow of fragrances; the smell, through which we conquer time; the contour of the invisible things; the forms of the immaterial; to deepen yourself in the intangible; to touch the world airborne by smell; aerial dialogue and gliding dissolution; to bathe in your own reflecting fragmentation [...]"

Our Story

Ultreia y Suseia is a family owned Iberian company specialized in the organization of unique experiences on the Camino de Santiago. We are Yoli and Rui and we met on the Camino Ingles, in 2014. And, by combining our shared love of the Camino and our large background in Costumer Service and Hospitality Management, we brought Ultreia y Suseia to life! “We felt so touched by our own personal experience and by all the persons from all over the World that we’ve met along the way, that we feel compeled to share our experience and knowledge about the amazing Camino de Santiago Experience.” - says Yolanda.
