"Nothing ever continues,
Everything will start again!"
(Mario Quintana)
And, altough it's time to go, it's with kisses and romance that our always grateful Santiago tell us that it will be always here, waiting for the pilgrims, again and again!!!

"To detach yourself elegantly from the world; to give contour and grace to sadness; a solitude in style; a walk that gives cadence to memories; stepping towards the intangible; with the breath in the trembling margins of things; the past reborn in the overflow of fragrances; the smell, through which we conquer time; the contour of the invisible things; the forms of the immaterial; to deepen yourself in the intangible; to touch the world airborne by smell; aerial dialogue and gliding dissolution; to bathe in your own reflecting fragmentation [...]"

It is okay to be in this space.
The transition, the messy middle, the space in between. You've moved on, but you haven't yet arrived.
You've left behind what you needed to, but the puzzle pieces haven't all yet come together.
There is messiness.
There is waiting.
There is uncertainty.
You are wanting to rush, but everything is moving slowly. You are wondering if you will get to where you want to go.
But where you are is perfect. The messy middle is for doors to close and new doors to open.
This transition period is where things come undone so that they can be put back together.
This is a season of just being, of trusting.
This is a season to pause and take a breath.
Have love for yourself.
You are exactly where you need to be.

A pilgrimage is a journey of the body and soul
“Regardless of our religion, it is an effort to become closer to your God. A pilgrimage is sometimes undertaken to pray for God’s intercession in our lives or as thanks for
an intercession that has been granted. Often, though, a pilgrimage represents nothing more (or less) than our desire to let God guide our footsteps and nourish our souls.
A pilgrimage should not be undertaken lightly but neither should it be undertaken in fear. It is intended to be a journey of joy and fulfilment.
A pilgrim is not a tourist who only touches, for a
fleeting moment, the land and people that they visit.
Rather, a pilgrim seeks to understand the essence of time, place and people that they meet on their path."
In “The Holy Pilgrimages of Northern New Mexico”

In the meantime, in the Altar of the World...
Starting a new Camino in Fátima is always special!!
Believers and non believers "feel" something special, here... Maybe it's from the silence, maybe it's the light, maybe it's God or the Universe, or the praying and maybe just the wishing well, a promise or nothing of this. It doesn't matter, probably. It's only Fátima and that's enough to be the Altar of the World!

“I’m a big believer in winging it.
I’m a big believer that you’re never going to find perfect city travel experience or the perfect meal without a constant willingness to experience a bad one.
Letting the happy accident happen is what a lot of vacation itineraries miss, I think, and I’m always trying to push people to allow those things to happen rather than stick to some rigid itinerary.”
–Bourdain
A few weeks ago we went to check a new hotel for our Path of Kindness and we randomly found this little jewel, owned by Ementerio. He not only knows a lot about wines and food: he's the proud owner of his Father's legacy, welcoming everyone with open arms and sharing the story behind every product he sells. We had a great time with him and, obviously, we have new wines and smoked hams and chorizos to try with our friends!!
