Looking for a festive treat that’s both delicious and nourishing? 🌿 Try these delicious Christmas Mince Pies from The Body Camp - a healthier twist on a holiday classic! 🎄🌟

With a light, nutty pastry and a naturally sweet, spiced fruit filling, they’re perfect for spreading festive cheer while staying on track with your wellness goals.

Easy to make and packed with wholesome ingredients, they’re a guilt-free treat to enjoy with loved ones this holiday season.

✨The Body Camp’s Christmas Mince Pies✨

Makes 6

Pastry
• 1 ½ cups ground almonds
• ¾ cup buckwheat or plain flour
• 7–8 tbsp non-dairy milk or 1 egg
• Pinch of sea salt
(Optional: 1 tbsp coconut or raw cane sugar)

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 160°C.
2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add milk or egg to form a dough that’s pliable, like playdough.
3. Roll dough on a floured surface and cut circles, or shape rounds by hand and press into moulds. Save some dough for star garnishes.
4. Bake pastry in moulds for 10 minutes. Let cool.

Vegan Mince Filling
• 1 grated apple
• 100g each: dried blueberries, raisins, dried prunes
• 2 tbsp chia seeds
• 1 orange (zest + juice)
• 10 chopped pecans
• 2 cups water
• ½ tsp cinnamon, ¼ tsp nutmeg
• 1 tbsp each: brandy flavouring, vanilla

Method:
1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook until fruits are rehydrated and liquid is absorbed. Cool.

Final Assembly:
1. Fill pastry moulds with mince. Add star garnish on top.
2. Bake at 170°C for 15 minutes.
3. Cool before removing from tray. Dust with icing sugar (optional) and enjoy!

🎃 Happy Halloween! 🎃

Looking for some spooky last minute, healthy(-ish 😜) treats that are easy to whip up and actually nutritious 🌿? Ben’s got you covered with 3 fun vegan recipes that are perfect for the season! 👻💀

✨ Witches’ Fingers (makes 10) ✨

• 350g almonds
• 100g pitted dates
• 3 tbsp cacao
• One espresso shot of coffee

Blend it all together, shape into fingers, and stick an almond at the end for the ‘nail.’ 🧙‍♀️

🍫 Reese’s Pieces (serves 6) 🍫

• 300g dark chocolate
• 1/2 tsp peanut butter per piece
• 1 tsp coconut oil
• vegan marshmallows for ‘spiders’ 🕷
• Icing sugar for eyes and legs

Melt chocolate with coconut oil, layer with peanut butter, add more chocolate, and chill in the fridge. Finish with vegan marshmallow ‘spiders’ and decorate!

🍏Apple Monster Bites🍏

Ingredients

• 2-3 green apples (Granny Smiths are ideal for their colour)

• Peanut butter or almond butter (for filling)

• 6-8 strawberries (sliced for tongues)

• Sunflower seeds or sliced almonds (for teeth)
• Edible candy eyes (or you can make eyes with icing sugar)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Apples: Cut each apple into quarters and remove the core. Then, cut a small wedge out of the skin side of each apple quarter to create a “mouth.”

2. Add the Peanut Butter: Spread a small amount of peanut butter into each “mouth” cavity. This will help the other ingredients stick and add a delicious flavor.

3. Make the Tongue: Place a slice of strawberry inside each mouth, with the pointed end sticking out to resemble a tongue.

4. Add the Teeth: Press a few sunflower seeds into the peanut butter along the top of the mouth to look like teeth.

5. Add the Eyes: Place two candy eyes on top of each apple slice using a small dab of peanut butter to help them stick.

Scare up some healthy fun with these treats tonight! 👻

Join us for some festive fun and catch-ups in Hyde Park, London, on Sunday 8th & 15th December at 10:00 AM! It’s time to reconnect with your Body Camp family and meet new friends who’ve shared the camp experience.

Expect laughter, chats, and the warm vibes we all need in December! With (well-behaved 😅😏) dogs welcome and a hot drink break halfway, we’re set for two hours of walking, socialising, and maybe even a Sunday roast or Winter Wonderland trip after. 🤍
