About us

My wife and I left the UK and moved to Catalonia in 2006 and we both instantly fell in love with this beautiful region of Spain. Like many of our customers we thrive in the outdoors and Catalonia offered us everything we could wish for, from the majestic alpine scenery of the high Pyrenees leading down to the stunning rugged Catalan Coast and everything in-between, it was a land of contrasts that took our breath away and from the day we arrived the Catalans made us feel incredibly welcome. Without much effort it quickly became our home.

In 2007 we started Catalan Adventures, after wading through all the Spanish government bureaucracy we were finally issued with our Spanish Tour Operator license and set out on our new venture. With a lot of hard work and a bit of luck here and there the company has grown and thrived and we now have a fantastic team (Des, Suzy, Lynnie and Steve 2) who are as enthusiastic about the outdoors and the business as we are. I believe that enthusiasm reflects on the fantastic customer feedback we get.

We are very proud of what we have achieved and we love meeting our customers from all over the world, we have even mastered the art of not getting Australians and Kiwis, Americans and Canadians mixed up, although sometimes we still get it wrong

On a final note (if you’ve made it this far), so what does the future hold for Spanish Adventure Tours, well we never wanted to build an empire and we still don’t, we are very happy operating as a small family run business with the great team we have, we want to put all our energy and effort into managing a small amount of well organised holidays focusing predominantly on this part of Catalonia close to where we live and work, that way we get to meet all our customers and we’re always close by should you need us.
