Heio fellows around the globe 🌎! Here I am back for some happy times during my private customized tours 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🎉.
The building of 📸 is my favourite modernist buiding: the clasical musical. Some curiosities about that building and its surroundings:
1.Don't forget to check out the main façade and find our Bach,Bethoven,Sant George Knight & the sculptural group La canço catalana!
2. Find out the street close by where Gaudi, the famous talented arquitecture, used to live: calle de verdaguer i callis, 16.
during my tours I like to point at this place & some current cool local stuff 😉

I am back🙆🏼‍♀️ 🎊

Yesterday I had my first adventurous travelers coming to the city from Germany by car, they enjoyed a 1.30h tour where they learnt about 📝:
📌The old roman city and downtown.
📌 Catalan culture & language. 📌 Spanish topics that are somehow 'steriorypes' but not absolutely true.
📌Interesting stories from the city, & related to the buildings and are we visited.
In the evening we had a fun food tour, discovering the main local products and learning about regional cusine while having local wine and cava🍷🥂🥳
I was looking forward to kickstart the summer season, and I had so much fun, barcelona life experiences😍🙌

Do you know WHY today Catalans give a rose to a woman and a book to a man? 🌹📕
Sant jordi was a roman knight that lived in Turkey and he was converted into cristionism in 4 century. The kight evolved as a patron in man different areas in Europe, for example United Kingdom or Moscu.
He got patron of Catalonia in 15th century. Around the cathedral of Barcelona there was an important mess celebrated on 23th April to commemorate San George saint. All women who attended the mess received a rose, and later on when a flower market was set close by, the tradition of giving flowers to women started.
Regarding the book tradition, the story goes back to 20th century. A Valencian writer funded a book fair to promote the books sales. The fair took first place in Octobre, since it was said that Miguel de Cervantes death that month. However, the bad weather conditions made that the fair date changed to 23th April, taking the opportunity that it was already the rose day.
Today it is known in Catalonia as the day: Happy Sant George Day!

It is said that here in today is the day: Happy Sant George Day 🌹📒 ! Sant George is a representation of Catalan culture and it is many times represented in building of the city, such as the of the pic, Palau de la Musica 📸

After travelling solo and living abroad in different countries, I realized that the best experiences I did not find them in a travel guide or popular group tour. I made truly memories when knowing locals, when buying on the shops that locals own, when sharing a meeting at a local food place, when having a positive impact in the local economy.
I realized that it is not about what you see, but who you see it with. This has brought to me to start this project. I want visitors or expats to feel the local life and discover the Barcelona essence. That thing that every place have and no one can explain you. That magic that is hard to tell.
I am not only sharing my love to the city, but my traditions and customs, the local language, and what does it mean to live here, to be Catalan or Spanish.
Standarized group tours will bring a lot of dates and historic figures easy to forget and also easy to find on a travel book. My private and customized experiences are memorable, and I can offer advice and trip planning according to your needs. For food experiences,I will bring you only to local & small business, so you are also contributing to the local economy, and generating a positive impact in the local community.
Are you an living in ? Are you planning to visit the city after all these mess?
Contact me then and let's make lifelong memories together🤝

Giving kids the gift of a ring-shaped cake called tortell de rams (picture 1) o la mona.La mona is a highly elaborated cake with all kind of compositions, like an erinaceinae (picture 3) .It differs from the original design. The name mona comes from from anciant arabic 'muna' which means a gift in the shape of food that was given to land lords as a 'method of payment'.The mona it also has a religious story behind.
