Accessible beaches Lanzarote
Life can be a real beach sometimes
While I’m not particularly fond of venturing into the water, I do love taking regular walks along the beach. Ever since I first moved to Lanzarote, the ocean, the long stretches of sand, and the gentle breeze have been my place to pause, recharge, and simply enjoy life on this beautiful island.
That’s why I always say: The beach isn’t just a location—it’s an experience that comes with plenty of health benefits.
🧘🏻♂️ Stress relief: The calming rhythm of the waves works wonders for your mental health.
☀️ Vitamin D boost: Sunshine instantly elevates your mood and improves overall well-being.
🦶🏼 Connection to nature: Being outdoors brings a sense of calm and perspective.
While not all of Lanzarote’s beaches are wheelchair accessible, there are a few fantastic spots where everyone can enjoy a day by the sea:
From Playa Blanca, with its ramps and accessible amenities, to the golden sands of Playa de las Cucharas in Costa Teguise, or the urban charm of Playa del Reducto in Arrecife—accessible facilities such as wooden walkways, toilets, and showers ensure that these stunning beaches can be enjoyed by all.
Which one appeals to you the most? 🏝️

A holiday isn’t just about ticking destinations off your travel bucket list
Over the years running Adventure Holidays Lanzarote and more recently LanzAbility , I’ve encountered all sorts of holidaymakers.
There are those who arrive completely burnt out, needing their holiday as a lifeline to recover before diving back into the daily grind.
Then, there are the bucket-listers—determined to see every single tourist attraction, racing through their stay without pausing to unwind.
And of course, there are the ones who expect Lanzarote to be exactly like home but with better weather and a beach.
But here’s the truth: a holiday in Lanzarote is about so much more.
Yes, you’ll find volcanoes and camels, scuba diving and paragliding. But, as cliché as it might sound, the magic lies in the little moments:
✨ Watching the sunrise with a cuppa in hand.
✨ Laughing like a kid while splashing in the sea.
✨ Feeling the sand between your toes and the breeze on your face.
It’s about reconnecting—with yourself, your loved ones, and what truly matters.
And this is something we can all learn from people with disabilities, who often approach life with a remarkable sense of calm, fully immersing themselves in the present moment.
Where was your last unforgettable holiday? And what made it so special?

One of our holiday guest’s canes broke during a tour
Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of supporting visually impaired and blind visitors to Lanzarote, helping them enjoy the island’s magic despite their disabilities.
I could write a long text about what we stand for and the love and care we put into our adapted holidays and tours to create unique holiday experiences for all our guests.
But these two heartwarming stories from our guests say it all:
👩🏻🦯 “Our tour guide was absolutely incredible. When my cane unexpectedly broke on the beach, she immediately took action and found a replacement. My husband wanted to buy a Barcelona football shirt, and our guide drove around to multiple shops in the 36°C heat until we found it. Her dedication didn’t stop there—she sent us photos of our excursions and provided detailed descriptions for every picture. We learned so much about the island’s history, and her recommendations for restaurants and activities made the trip even more special. We’re already thinking about returning for Christmas!” – Saima, UK
🧑🏻🦯 "The flexibility of our guide was incredible—she suggested activities outside our original itinerary that made our trip even more memorable. Despite concerns about cost, I can confidently say the service is worth every penny. Had we travelled with family or friends, we wouldn’t have had such a tailored, informative experience. The guide’s local knowledge and attention to detail transformed our holiday. We enjoyed lovely moments together as a couple, with the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure." – Faraaz, UK
Thank you so much for these kind words that encourage us to continue doing what we do. 🥺♿️
P.S. The next adapted tours for September are filling up quickly, and we can’t wait to explore the island with you!
