Starting January 11, 2025, Costa Rica will require the yellow fever vaccine for all travelers arriving from certain countries, or who have made a stopover in them. 🌎 This measure aims to protect the health of all visitors and residents.

Who Needs the Vaccine?
Travelers coming from or making a stopover in the following countries: 🇧🇴 Bolivia, 🇧🇷 Brazil, 🇨🇴 Colombia, 🇪🇨 Ecuador, 🇬🇾 Guyana, 🇬🇫 French Guiana, 🇵🇾 Paraguay, 🇵🇪 Peru, 🇸🇷 Suriname, 🇻🇪 Venezuela, 🇹🇹 Trinidad and Tobago, and all African countries.

What if You Only Make a Stopover Without Leaving the Airport?
No vaccine is required if you only make a stopover in these countries without leaving the airport’s transit area.

Vaccination Exceptions:
Vaccination is mandatory for all travelers, except for:

- Children under 9 months
- Individuals with severe egg allergies
- People with immunosuppression
- Those with thymus disease or a history of it

🛑 Don’t forget! This is a measure for everyone’s well-being. Be sure to have your vaccination certificate if your journey includes these destinations, and get ready to enjoy Costa Rica without any issues. 🌴
