A.k.a. Feria which, together with Holy Week, is the most awaited week of the year for the Sevillians. It is like a small and decorated city in which joy and color abound. And yes, you guessed right, finding vegan food is not always an easy task.

🌱 𝑨𝒏𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒄𝒖𝒆 🐑

From the beginning of this project we knew something for sure:

1. Our business had to be aligned with what we are and our values.

2. It had to make a positive impact, not only on ourselves but also on our close community (humans and non-humans animals).

So when we heard that Pepa, who was just born and left behind on her own by her herd, needed some assistance we didn't hesitate to give her a helping hand.

Today she will be meeting her new family and we couldn't be happier for her.

This wouldn't have been possible without a chain of good hearted people that didn't turn their backs and was willing to help her somehow. People like and . We couldn't be prouder of being part of this team 💚💚🌱

Overall this experience made us realized how much impact our small acts can have on other beings and how important is to support animal sanctuaries and other animal rescuers.

Hello everyone! We thought it was time to introduce our little team. So here we go:

We are Bruno and Marta, a young couple living in Seville (Spain) who decided to go vegan 5 years ago motivated by our love to animals and seek for justice.

BRUNO:
41yo french-portuguese 🇨🇵🇵🇹 who studied Economy but worked in tourism his whole life.
He ❤️ cuddling puppies, rock concerts and road trips.
He wishes to have a camper van one day 🚐.

MARTA:
31yo born and raised in Seville 🇪🇦💃🏻, although has lived for some time in the Uk 🇬🇧 and Portugal 🇵🇹.
She studied several things related to Audiovisual Creation 📷 but has worked in tourism for many years.
She ❤️ travelling to exotic destinations, cooking vegan food and dancing.
Her life dream is to go around the world 🌍.

Vegan options available? 🤷🏼🤷🏼

If there is one situation that can really get on our nerves as vegans is going to a restaurant, that claims to have vegan options, and finally discovering that we will be eating nothing but french fries and salad 😓.
Sometimes the staff may even suggest you to remove 4 of the 6 ingredients of a dish, however you will still pay the same price(!)

As vegan travelers we also felt frustrated and disappointed about the vegan options available in most of the restaurants during our trips.
Not to mention that tasting the traditional cuisine of a country sometimes seemed like an impossible mission to us, something especially annoying when you are a vegan foodie.

As local guides we understand how challenging might be for people with a plant-based diet or other special diets to visit a traditional city like Seville.

For all these reasons we decided to invest our time to help other fellow vegans (and curious minds) like you to make the most of your holidays in our city and have an authentic sevillan experience by saving you hours and hours of research.

Our tour has been designed to be a full guide for vegans who visit our city as well as a unique foodie experience. This is the tour we wished we had had in every one of our trips.

Sevillian local cuisine is widely known for being one of the tastiest and most varied cuisines in Spain. Its tapas represent the perfect mix between Mediterranean cuisine and Al-Andalus flavors. However, it is also known for using a considerable amount of animal products, especially pork. This is why it can present a challenge for those travelers who want to have a deeper look into our cuisine without giving up their vegan principles. For this reason we have made a list of the top 5+2 popular vegan tapas that you can easily find in any traditional bar in Seville:

𝗚𝗮𝘇𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼. This cold tomato soup is probably the most universal Sevillian dish. Its summer vegetables mixed with our Extra Virgin Olive Oil make this dish a real delicacy, especially on the hottest days of summer. Its Cordovan brother, the Salmorejo, which is a thicker and smoother variant, is also found in most bars in Seville. We encourage you to try both and decide for yourself which one is your favorite! But remember to always order your salmorejo without topping since it can be served with ham and boiled egg on top.
𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗵 (“𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗼𝘀”). This spicy stew is the perfect tapa to recharge your batteries after visiting the center since it is consistent and you can find it in the window of any bar in Seville.
𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗼 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 (“𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗼 𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗮ñ𝗮”). No matter where you see them advertised, try them! It is one of the most gourmet tapas of Sevillian cuisine and the best thing is that they are VEGAN. Don't be fooled by the word “miel”, miel de caña is a kind of molasses that is extracted from sugar cane, therefore its production is 100% cruelty free.
𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗷𝗼 𝗽𝗶𝗰ó𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲, also known as “papas con mojo”. Although it is not a dish originally from Andalusia, but from the Canary Islands, you can easily find them in any bar. It is a tapa of roasted potatoes with a spicy sauce that can be a bit spicy depending on the chef.
𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲 ("𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶ñ𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲"). They can also be presented as stuffed mushrooms ("champiñones rellenos"), however its filling may sometimes contain animal products such as ham or prawns. For this reason, it is important to inquire before ordering it and, if it contains ham, request it to be served without it.

But remember, there are two different types of churros in Seville: potato churros and plain churros (“churros de rueda”). You will need to order plain churros since potato churros can contain milk.

👉 Miles de caballos son utilizados en paseos y excursiones para turistas en todo el mundo.
👉 Se trata de un entretenimiento anacrónico que sigue atrayendo a muchos turistas.
👉 La mayoría de caballos son explotados cada día, durante largas jornadas, sufriendo heridas por la sobrecarga, golpes y falta de atención veterinaria. Esperar horas y horas bajo el sol abrasador les causa deshidratación y golpes de calor. Muchos de ellos no aguantan y se desploman agotados.
👉 Cuando ya no sirven para generar beneficios económicos, los animales terminan en el matadero y son reemplazados por otros.
👉 ¿Sabías que el origen del movimiento mundial de protección de los animales nació por “la compasión que despertaban los caballos, mulos y asnos maltratados en personas sensibles”, tal y como explica Jesús Mosterín en su obra 'El triunfo de la compasión'?
👉 La primera ley contra el maltrato animal, el Cruel Treatment of Catlle Act, promulgada en Gran Bretaña en 1822, protegía a los animales de tiro, mientras que la primera organización americana para la protección de los animales se formó a raíz de la queja de los caballos que tiraban de los tranvías de Nueva York.
