The Baruipur masterplan, in the south of Kolkata, is a micro-city with over 5 million sqft (500.000 m²) of built-up area on a 98-acre site. The analysis and reinterpretation of new urban development opportunities in India brought into reality this ambitious masterplan that meets in detail the local market requirements.
The project was divided into two phases. The first phase is a small gated high-end residential community and the second phase contemplates a larger development that acts as a self-sufficient city with green areas and open spaces.

Undulating volumes and circular shapes that bring light into the building's interior characterize the aesthetics of the project. The Fractal complex consist of six luxury corporate serviced apartments, with one apartment per floor.
The structure creates a strong dynamism, providing terraces and shaded spaces to protect the inside from the direct sun radiation. The building façade comprises white prefabricated panels of reinforced concrete with windows of different sizes.

We are proud to be included in the Louis Vuitton 200 visionaries list, in great company with other architects, artists, and creators. This is part of the celebration of Monsieur Luis Vuitton 200 birthday.
Each visionary has reinterpreted the trunk, a symbol of the item that led to the founding of the brand and the transformation of the way people travel.
We designed “Akoro” a non-physical object that provides an immersive journey to new frontiers: space travel and virtual realities.
"Akoro" is a neologism derived from the term "Artista koro" in Esperanto, which means "artist's heart." Louis Vuitton envisioned design and innovation as tools to connect humanity. In a related way, Esperanto was conceived as an international language to unite cultures.
Louis Vuitton will donate €10,000 on behalf of ABIBOO Studio to a charitable organization that focuses on enabling access to the arts and creativity for young people from disadvantaged communities. Additionally, Akoro will auction at Sotheby's, and all proceeds will also be donated.
These donations continue ABIBOO Studio's commitment to creating better communities through the restorative power of design and generosity.

Louis Vuitton invited us to participate in the celebration of Monsieur Louis Vuitton´s 200 birthday. They asked us and 199 others visionaries in the World to rethink the iconic trunk that changed the way people travel.
Our piece is named Akoro and is a non-physical object that provides an immersive journey to new frontiers: space travel and virtual realities.
While Akoro's skin is dynamic and responds to the environment, its interior is kept untouched. The reactive nature of Akoro provides hints from the outside about the experiential secrets that it dearly protects inside, but it does not fully disclose it. As in love, only one person has the key to the depths of the heart's secrets.
The trunks will be displayed in Louis Vuitton store windows across the world for 100 days, starting today August 4th, 2021. Stay tunned!

Ecolighthouse project aims to promote tourism in close relation with traditions and the improvement of rural areas.
The project is formed by different units of recycled shipping containers that allow full construction in very short time in any part of the world, while ensuring an easy and quick dismantling with no waste elements at all and producing a very low environmental impact.
Hydroponic crops are a tool for architecture in the creation of sustainable cities and housing. These systems do not require pesticides, demand less water and space, and can be installed anywhere.
ABIBOO Studio integrates this way of producing food in its most recent work.

Green areas in Bluegrass club and gallery project. The plot, located between the city’s river and two of its main rad arteries, has numerous old and beautiful trees.
Maintaining the trees was one of the important aspects considered for the design. The organic form of the building responds to the natural environment around the building.

Green areas in residential and urban projects should also maximize biodiversity opportunities at all levels, reduce energy and water requirements, increase green biomass, and discard materials that pollute and damage the natural ecosystem.

Is Mars the best choice to settle? What about a cloud city on Venus? Or an underground city on the moon?
Those are the questions that video blogger MikeDaRosa asked first to ABIBOO's founder Alfredo Muñoz in his YouTube Channel Smallstars.
This channel dedicated to Space exploration dedicated one of its sessions to the project Nüwa city on Mars and how humans will live on the Red Planet.
A pleasant and didactic interview in which Muñoz answers the main questions about this project developed with SONet has aroused worldwide interest.

Nüwa is a project for a sustainable city on Mars developed by SONet, an international team of scientists and academics. This comprehensive proposal for a self-sufficient, human settlement that could become feasible within a few decades, has attracted international interest.
The enormous attention that the project has received coincides with the fact that Mars is currently the focus of a significant part of space exploration advances. The neighboring planet has become one of the main challenges for public agencies and private companies that are building and testing large-tonnage rockets.

Working on creating cities in extreme environments helps us invent more efficient ways to solve problems on Earth.
It is one of the most critical and complex challenges for architects, and therefore often the source of the most innovative and inspiring work.
ABIBOO Studio has designed Nüwa, a project for a sustainable and self-sufficient city on Mars. To plan this settlement in an extreme extra-planetary environment, the architects had to deal with the absence of water, oxygen, gravity, and vegetation.
Architecture in extreme environments is increasingly important. The knowledge it produces is key to imagining and proposing structures and systems that guarantee humanity’s survival in any possible scenario.

Architecture for extreme environments has allowed us to advance into new territories to reach new geographic and knowledge horizons. It is the discipline that will contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change.
For example, architecture can respond to extreme heat and cold episodes with specific thermal insulation solutions.
Or create temporary shelters for the most vulnerable populations. It can also design homes with its energy and food production, which would be a great advantage when facing health emergencies.

Happy & Healthy Living on Mars
Architect Alfredo Munoz participated in the educational activity "Mission Curiosity". Scientists and people from the humanities, arts, and activism answered questions from children who have visited the exhibition "Mars. The Red Mirror" at the CCCB
The founder of ABIBOO said that: "Mars is not a Plan B. We need to fix the problems we have on Earth. Colonizing Mars can help us learn about many solutions that we can apply here on Earth".
The exhibition, that took place between March and June, has aroused the students' curiosity about the Red planet. ABIBOO´s and SONet project, Nüwa city on Mars, was featured on the exhibition. According to the organizers, what most caught the children’s attention was: Mars as a survival opportunity for humanity in the face of the climate emergency.
"In the imagination of the children the eventual colonization of the red planet seems beyond doubt, and this fact points out the responsibility of adults towards future generations", expressed the organizers.
Many thanks to the organizers for counting on us!

The Oragadam is the Masterplan and architectural design for all of the buildings in a township of 26.6 acres, two million Sq. Ft., and over 2,500 homes in South India.
The project includes a diversity of housing typologies and public buildings, such as shopping areas, cinemas, health centers, and clubhouses for the community.
The required high density of the development emerges around public areas and gardens, which shape the experience of the township, creating a vibrant and elegant community that integrates with nature.
The exterior of HOUSE R2R keeps the interior’s compartmentalized character, providing a human-scale experience across each of the many outdoor areas that are part of this villa in Bangalore, India.
The house is surrounded by a luxurious garden, divided into different sectors, each with its character, following the same strategies of the architectural design.
more details about the project here: shorturl.at/ahBS0
Outdoor living spaces have become versatile extensions of the most used interior spaces. In the project House R2R, we created a luxury outdoor setting as comfortable and practical as interior spaces.
The design on this villa had to comply with strict Vastu philosophy in India. All dimensions, proportions, locations of the program, circulations, elevation, and general conceptualization follow such ancient local tradition.

Interiors with lots of natural light directly impact the quality of the space and its inhabitants. In the design of these residences in southern Spain, natural lighting is the protagonist.
Marbella Green is a project that seeks to maximize the views of the golf course and the linear park.
The furnishings and cladding compose a palette of neutral tones that reinforce the intense green of the exterior.
The project also emphasizes the exclusive character of the development by providing unique sensory experiences and many typologies that allow for further differentiation.

Can humans live on Mars in the near future? The answer is in Nüwa, a self-sufficient and sustainable city of one million people built on a cliff of the Red Planet. ABIBOO Studio, headed the architectural and urban design, in conjunction with the SONet, an international team of scientists and academics. The project is part of an exhaustive scientific work for a competition by The Mars Society. With this design, ABIBOO Studio is among the firms leading space architecture. The firm founded by Alfredo Muñoz worked for months together with more than 35 professionals from different specialties to create housing, social and cultural spaces for the inhabitants of Nüwa. The result is an urban and architectural solution that ensures food, energy, building materials, and transportation in Mars’s extreme environment To conceive this City/State, The Mars Society asked to define aspects such as the construction methods on Mars and the type of government that will govern this new society. Therefore, the projects had to include proposals for economic models, forms of government, and education systems. They also requested a definition of the type of artistic and sports activities that should be carried out in the Martian city. “Since we have a chance to start over, would life on Mars be better than on Earth?” Asked The Mars Society in its convocation. “And how should this new city be designed to be an attractive and pleasant place to live?”. The question is not minor at a time when the space race to Mars is accelerating with the recent launch of NASA’s mission “Mars2020Perseverance”, the Chinese probe Tianwen-1, and “Hope” of the United Arab Emirates. #architecture #spacearchitecture #archilovers #spaceexploration #spacearchitect #space #nasa #mars2020 #aerospace #perseverance #spacetech#spacex #marsrover
