Record levels of crude oil held in sea storage

Giant tankers are being used as floating storage units in record numbers following the sharp decline in oil prices caused by Covid19 and a lack of demand.
A report by Reuters reporter, Jonathan Saul, claims that traders have now stored a record of 160 million barrels of crude oil on ships - double the number compared to a fortnight ago.
“There is more oil out at sea now, for sure,” Samir Madani, from TankerTrackers, tells us.
“Given that tanker rates are high, VLCC's save money. The oil refiners don't have the storage space to take on the oversupply, and as a result, we're going to see a lot of floating storages,” he explains.
By using various filters on our Live Map, we can see every VLCC currently at sea, each able to hold 2 million barrels.
Want to see that live for yourself? Go to the MarineTraffic Live Map, and select the right vessel filters: Ship Type (Tankers) & Capacity (180k-320k dwt), and there they are.

Looking for a deckhand/helper for a 55ft day charter yacht based out of Port de Pollensa, Mallorca. This is a fun role for the right person; male or female, ideally will enjoy being on the water, lives close to Port de Pollensa or is able to travel up most days during the summer season - June to September.

Duties will be helping the skipper to prepare the yacht for daily yacht trips, helping to serve lunch and drinks - assisting guests with snorkelling, SUPs, occasional diving trips, drying a 15hp tender & helping to clean the yacht after the charters.

This opportunity would suit someone looking to learn and get more experience in the charter industry, other crew have gone onto work on bigger yachts having gotten a full seasons experience in the industry, the skipper is a yachting instructor who will provide good references to the right people.

We ask that for the candidate is:

Hard working
Enjoys spending time with charter guests, mostly families and tourists
Can swim
Eligible to work in Spain
Has valid STCWs/First Aid
PB2 Licence
Willing to learn
Can travel or lives close to Port de Pollensa
Ability to work unaffected by seasickness
