Barcelona Architecture Walks was founded in October 2010 by MIEL ARQUITECTOS, a studio that pursues excellence through an understanding of local synergies, and was inspired by Eoghan Lewis and his Sydney Architecture Walks. With his narrative intelligence and ironic brilliance, Eoghan shows off the city of Sydney to “aesthetes, literati, flâneurs and locals who love familiar terrain from a different point of view.”

With summer comes Pantalla Pavelló, the al fresco cinema cycle at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion that turns the travertine wall into a big screen.

The pergola walkway designed by Enric Miralles and Carme Pinós in 1992, is fully in keeping with the idea of making the Olympic Village a modern neighbourhood with its own personality. The fact that the site was occupied by a vast underground waste collector, meant that trees couldn’t be planted on the avenue.

The European Commission and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe just revealed the 7 finalists for the EU Mies Awards 2024, European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Awards. There are 5 finalists in the Architecture category and 2 in the Emerging category. In March, the jury will visit these architectural works and will decide on the winning projects that will be announced on April 25th at the CIVA in Brussels.
