One of my favorite parts of our tour agency is meeting up with our fascinating customers for a coffee, a glass of wine or lunch.
Folks often ask me how I stay fit... while eating lots of delicious food.
First know your why: Longevity b/c I want to live long and prosper with my beautiful wife & young son.
A few simple food rules that make it easy:
1) Never skip the protein & veggies + healthy fat.
2) If you can’t stop yourself after eating one french fry, Dorito or spoon of ice cream or Fruit Loops…. don’t start.
3) If you can’t stop yourself after one beer, sweet drink or mixed drink … choose something else.
With some simple structure, you don't need willpower, instead you have a lifestyle that you choose to create and enjoy.

People ask me all the time how is life different in Europe compared to the USA... Listen there is good & bad things everywhere but for ease in eating healthier food western Europe wins hands down.
In the United States, I am told by a food industry attorney client that a large percentage of restaurants are buying from one single company called Sysco Foods, and they buy pretty much the same stuff.
Restaurants that have different flavors, but they're all selling you the same things on big plates with lots of cheap side dishes that can taste really good due to "flavor enhancers"
The U.S. FDA has allowed a huge number of artificial flavors, artificial colorings, and other compounds in foods that are illegal in Europe.
So you think you're getting a french fry in the U.S., but it doesn't have the same ingredients in Europe.
The list of ingredients is entirely different.
In Europe, it's going to have some kind of oil (that's still probably not good for you), and it's going to have some salt and some potatoes.
But in the U.S., there's a huge long list of ingredients added to drive costs down and to make it more rewarding / addictive.
You think you're eating the same food, but you're not. There are a lot more chemicals in American food.
On top of that, you are surrounded by pesticides and herbicides at much higher levels in the U.S. And, the water quality in the U.S. is generally lower.
So when you’re in the United States, maybe you're not actually putting on pounds of fat, maybe you're putting on pounds of inflammation.
