Off-grid artist's mountain retreat
Delightful stone cottage built into the mountains above Port de Soller - we don't have electricity or hot water, but we do have peace, tranquility & fresh air, beautiful sea & mountain views, mobile phone charger, gas lanterns & wood fired cooking.
My husband built this house himself, by hand, over the last 25 years. He is a sculptor who works in wood, metal and stone and the house and gardens are adorned with his creations. We love spending time there, both alone and with friends. I call it our little slice of paradise and everyone who visits agrees with me.
My father-in-law, also an artist, has spent much time there painting - he paints in the french impressionist style, using oil paints and spatula. There are fabulous views of the mountains and the sea, either from the terrace or from the picture window.
The house is accessible by car and there is plenty of parking available. The nearest shops are in the village of Soller or in the port, both about 10-15 mins drive away. There are lots of hiking trails from the house, eg to/from Port de Soller which takes about an hour, or to the Coves del Migdia, about an hour, and the Puig de Balitx above.
