Wondering what sparked this smile on my face? Several things wrapped up in one shot. I attended my first Slovak wine tasting ever in a charming wine bar in Nitra ! And guess who won the wine raffle from ? Thanks so much! ☺️🍾🎯 I kept saying I've never won anything in my life and look! What a way of initiation into the scene! Thanks for all the samples and the bonus natural one! Just a sidenote, I got to choose the wine of my choice from this family run winery and I picked Dunaj 2018, recently awarded as the best dry Slovak red at 2021 in Madrid ... destiny? 🥰

Yes ... we cheated and we drank this wine many days ahead of the online tasting with buuut my takeouts of today: Mourvèdre is an impossible French name for our beloved Monastrell🥰

And this is how all my successful dishes start (and end) 😂🍷🍾 I like to cook/bake with a glass of wine. First time I experienced this concept was in Cardiff (again) with an Italian friend who was cooking a delicious risotto and sipping on his white wine. Back then I was just an amazed spectator and drinker but since I started enjoying cooking I like to have my glass of wine on the side.

Oh boy how incredibly wrong was I about the rose wines! I used to think they are all sweet summery wines until I got to try a good good one. The one in the picture is from I love to be proven wrong🥰 these wines have their special moments at our home and actually my very first wine tasting was with rose wines... sooo “sweet” memories

We’ve got a proper special wine guard 🥰 the whole array of organic wines at home! True lash guys sth worth trying imho plus they are VT so yes they are creative cause they want😇 so far we uncorked 2 of them and here’s my perception: the white - poetic Diez Dias de Marzo (10 days of March) is an absolute splash of tropical fruit and you would never say it’s a blend of Moscatel de alejandria elegantly fused with macabeo and jaen blanca (genuine goblet old vines, you can check a photo from their vineyards in our feed). Second- Zimbra also meaningful title is their natural wine with limited production, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast, beautiful colour, garnacha + tempranillo and now my blind tasting since the label does not says that 🤪 juicy red with beautiful minerality and big on nose, I would go for a licorice maybe as the main aroma for me@bodegasvilaplana did I get it right or not?😇😎 perhaps can help as well. Well ..n nothing to add just enjoy like we did zimbra + rabbit with garlics = big love 💕🥰 @ Granada, Spain

Since the quarantine began in Spain we’ve been receiving many messages from our previous experience guests checking if we are safe. In these uncertain times we just reassured ourselves that what we did with our business over the last year had a real purpose. I like to define our experiences as “turning guests into friends” and I am truly proud that we creat bonds lasting much longer that the night out in Granada. @ Granada, Spain

It is always an utter pleasure to follow David Sumilleres Granada in his wine tastings around Granada and learn something new with every single sip. What is more challenging is to channel his wide knowledge about wine and adapt it to the audience and the venue hosting his tasting... and that’s where the magic happens and everything clicks perfectly. Extremely hard job and brilliantly mastered every time we see David working because he really is a wine teller. Congrats Disloque Bar Restaurante on a perfect pairing 😋
