I am a proud capitalist and I like to make money. I have three Airbnb units and my villa is the highest-rated large luxury villa in Gran Canaria. I offer my guests high service and am happy to do more than is expected. BUT there is one thing I like more than making money and that is using my f**k off capital.
An annoying lady had booked my apartment in Las Palmas for 4 people. Today I discovered that they reported via chekin.com (a site linked to the Spanish police where you register all guests) that seven people will be in the apartment.
The pricing in my apartment depends on the number of guests, so 7 people pay more than 4 people. I message the guest but no reply. I then called and she answered. She first claims that children do not need to be registered, which is of course nonsense, and when I calmly explain that she has to change her booking and thus pay more, she becomes increasingly hysterical. In a loud voice, she explains that my house rules are absurd and that it will affect her review. Few things trigger me more than a hysterical 55-year-old Spanish/Italian woman trying to decide how I should manage my business with threats and nagging.
So today I canceled a guest who was supposed to come tomorrow so now she needs to find something else for her relatives at short notice.
