Mar de colores is located in the historic centre of Villajoyosa, where the buildings have been declared cultural and interesting. The flat has excellent views, spacious room, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Only 30 minutes' drive from Alicante airport. Parking at 200 m. 🍴 💖 🌴☀️

Today, I am taking some time to update the website. It is nice that there is interest in the flat and that the first reservations are already happening. With the end-of-year period, we spent a few days there ourselves. Because we too like being there. Many things are within walking distance and you can easily take the train to Benidorm and Altea. Villajoyosa is a hidden gem on the Costa Blanca. 🇪🇸 🍴 🌴☀️ 🇪🇸 🌊☀️ 💓

Tijdens de laatste avond van het jaar, oudejaarsavond, viert heel Spanje een traditie: iedereen eet twaalf druiven, achter elkaar en één druif met iedere slag van de klok om middernacht. Dit is de Spaanse manier om de komst van het nieuwe jaar te vieren. Het is bovendien zo dat degenen die hun druiven op tijd kunnen eten, een jaar vol voorspoed en geluk te wachten staat, althans dat zegt de traditie.

Samen met het eten van twaalf druiven wordt er genoten van de Spaanse Cava om de druiven weg te spoelen. Overigens zijn er nog meer tradities die een gelukkig en voorspoedig jaar garanderen zoals het dragen van rood ondergoed, geld stoppen in je schoenen en het meedragen van koffers zodat je zeker weet dat je het komende jaar op vakantie gaat. 🎄 ☀️ 🌈

Villajoyosa is one of the most colourful towns on the Costa Blanca. The houses in cheerful shades used to be an orientation beacon for fishermen at sea. They contrast beautifully with the beautiful white sandy beach and playfully flank the cosy promenade. No wonder UNESCO, like Italy's Cinque Terre and Brazil's Salvador de Bahia, also recognised the centre of Villajoyosa as a cultural World Heritage Site. view
The hanging houses are a very characteristic part of La Vila Joiosa. They can be found in the town centre and can also be seen from the path that runs along the Amadorio river and takes us to the town's coast. This walk through one of the most beautiful parts of the city is highly recommended. Did you know that our little flat is located in 1 of the hanging houses? ✈️ 💓

We have renovated it completely. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, a spacious living room and a fully equipped kitchen.
