Sleepwalk Collective is an award-winning live-art and experimental theatre group creating intimate performance experiences between the UK and Spain. We make fragile, nocturnal works for theatres and other spaces, emerging from a fascination with pop culture junk, intoxication, and the mysteries and complexities of our relationships with each other. Balancing delicately between joy and tr

agedy, our performances are playful and sensual, defined by a minimalist aesthetic and a seductive sense of danger. We are currently based in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the Spanish Basque Country, where our work is supported by FACTORÍA DE FUEGOS. ESPAÑOL:

Sleepwalk Collective es una premiada compañía de arte en vivo y teatro experimental que trabaja desde el 2006 entre España y Reino Unido. Con base en Euskadi, la compañía crea piezas originales para teatros y espacios no convencionales que emergen de la fascinación que sienten por la cultura popular y las complejidades de sus relaciones con otros, y con las nuevas tecnologías. Sus piezas combinan textos reflexivos y poéticos con una cuidada estética, y se caracterizan por estar envueltas en un diseño sonoro y lumínico denso e hipnótico. Sleepwalk Collective son iara Solano Arana y Sammy Metcalfe. Juntos han creado una docena de espectáculos para teatros, una serie de piezas intimistas en formato vis-à-vis y un gran número de acciones y piezas escénicas experimentales, algunas de ellas site-specific, para espacios alternativos y museísticos. Actualmente combinan la creación y la exhibición con la gestión cultural y el comisariado, así como con otras actividades formativas, y acompañando los proyectos escénicos de jóvenes artistas emergentes. Sleepwalk Collective es compañía residente de la Sala Baratza Aretoa de Vitoria-Gasteiz, y artistas asociados al Centro Conde Duque de Madrid. Sus textos han sido publicados por Oberon Books.

Backstage after SWIMMING POOLS in Bilbao last night, the last show we had scheduled. That's 14 shows we've done through the pandemic, in some of the biggest theatres we've ever played.
