Mount Zuquala is an extinct volcano located around 30km south of Bishoftu, just a couple hour’s drive from Addis. The volcano is the highest peak in the central Rift Valley and is covered in beautiful dry mountain forests with a shallow crater lake at the top. During your hike, you’ll immerse in the volcano’s unique nature and see sacred sites such as rock formations, and an ancient monastery plus plenty of wildlife and birds.
