Crater lake..
One of the best places I ever seen..
Location 100km from Addis Ababa in the way to Ambo or in the way to Weliso..
Weather is comparatively same to Addis..
The nature is very beautiful, you can visit the entire place using horses which takes 4-5 hrs in return basis or you can walk in the middle and see the forest, hot springs, fountain and the hills.. You can then take a boat to enjoy the pure water of the lake which you can swim as well..👌👍 amazing place!!!

Wenchi Crater Lake

Wenchi Crater Lake became a desirable destination in the journey throughout Ethiopia It is less than three hours drive by car from Addis Ababa, but is very removed from the capital’s din and dust. After a couple of hours on the paved way from Addis to Ambo, the route follows a dirt road which climbs quickly into the rural Ethiopian highlands. The lake is located on a mountain range not far from the town of Ambo, Oromia,Ethiopia at an altitude of about 3000 meters above sea level. The car will drive you to the rim of the volcano, where you first get a glimpse of the lake that turned out to be dotted with villages…
Then you will start a trek down to the lake surface, visiting village houses, and climbing the rim on the other side of the volcano, and picked up by the car.
