Today May 24, we celebrated the World Biodiversity Day with students from primary schools and their teachers, officers, and community members.

The Moto was Our biodiversity, our food, our health! It was celebrated by book fair, photographe exhibition, herbal tea testing and a commomoration.

We are very thankful to work with a forrestery college and Agreecultural Research centers!

Abebe Bikila, a double Olympic marathon champion, made history after running barefoot and setting a world record during the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, Italy.

Abebe‘s name entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest barefoot marathon runner. He is the first African world record-breaking athlete in any sport. At the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, Abebe became the first athlete to successfully defend an Olympic marathon title, breaking his own world record in the process.

Simien Mountains National Park is one of the national parks of Ethiopia. Located in the North of Gondar. Its territory covers the Simien Mountains and includes Ras Dashan, the highest point in Ethiopia. It is home to a number of endangered species, including the Ethiopian wolf and the Walia Ibex, a wild goat found nowhere else in the world. The Gelada Baboon and the Caracal, a cat, also occur within the Simien Mountains. More than 50 species of birds inhabit the park, including the impressive bearded Vulture, or Lammergeier, with its 3m. wingspan.
