The darkest day of the year, but the night was truly "bright". Mother Nature had arranged three different shows for us. A wonderful family from across the sea had come to visit us here in Lapland. It is wonderful to be able to offer them such an experience.
Now we have a happy Christmas spirit and we relax into the peace of Christmas. focus on our loved ones and spend a peaceful Christmas.

A few photos from our trips in December.

A hurry is a hurry, we tend to say when we don't have time to do everything. But it doesn't hurt to remember our past trips. There is a super top couple from the Netherlands, there is Puerto Rico and an incredible woman with her family from England.

I want to tell this woman's story. She was on my trip 2 years ago and we didn't see the lights then. We did find a cloudless area and photographed the Milky Way, but the Northern Lights activity was zero.

She wanted to trust me again about a week ago. We went out and ended up being forced off the road by a truck. My friend came to help and soon our journey continued. Then we stood in -31 degrees below zero and only a gentle Northern Lights arc came into the sky. So twice I have failed with her, still she said thank you and was going to come back. I told her that maybe another hunter was better. She answered me that there isn't and plans to go with me next time as well.

When that time comes, I'm under super pressure 😬😬🥰

It's that time of the year again when you're really busy and there's more work than you have time to do. Yes we have hunted the Northern Lights but I haven't had time to make any posts. I will tell more about them during today and tomorrow.

Last night we were hunting lights again and it was a wonderful show. -26 degrees below zero, but that didn't bother us.

Yesterday was another night when u needed to know what to do. We had to leave early, because we saw from the satellites that the lights are in the sky since the beginning of the evening.

And it went as scripted. As soon as we found a cloudless sky, we got to enjoy the lights that spread across the whole sky.

Yesterday was not an easy night. The clouds were moving fast and the forecasts were not very reliable. Of course, I would like to be in the right place at the right time, so that I don't have to drive around Lapland with my clients unnecessarily.

We started at 8:30 PM and got back around midnight. The first stop came suddenly, and we didn't have time to look for a decent spot. We took photos for a while and decided to look for a better photo spot. While we were driving, the Northern Lights were in the sky, but luckily the best ones only came when we were in a good location.

A couple of things could have been done better, but it was a difficult night, so overall I'm satisfied.

Today we're resting, because it's snowing in Lapland 🌨🌨

Last night there were beautiful northern lights and of course we were admiring them.
We had guests from the other side of the globe. If I remember correctly, we have never had Guatemalans as customers before. So a new country for us and it was really wonderful to get to know you. ❤️

The whole autumn has been a great Northern Lights season here in Lapland. Now we have received a little snow, which makes the landscape more winter-like. Although autumn turns to winter, it seems that the northern lights will continue to be strong. And of course that works for us :)

It's very busy here in Lapland. Clean the villa for the clients, be a guide and offer them a car ride, try to find the northern lights, answer dozens and dozens of messages, make offers for the next projects and try to play father and husband to the family at the same time. 😝 But despite everything, it's great to do all this and it's wonderful that there are so many of you. Thank you!❤️ Now let's go back to the atmosphere of the evening of the third of January and the wonderful cold of -35 degrees.
