Northern lights hunting is not too serious, it's fun. At the end of January, we had a happy group on our trip.

It was a challenging and difficult week with the northern lights. Every night we had to work hard and drive long distances.
I haven't had time to update because of this.

A few things from our trips.
- My first customers from Trinidad and Tobago ❤️
- We went to Sweden.
- We hunted all night.
- One night was easier than we thought.

Last night everything went like in the movies. Pick up of customers at 19:00. We drove for about 30 minutes and the lights were in the sky. Photography for maybe one hour, after Mother Nature took a short break for the northern lights. From the satellite data, we could say that there will indeed be another show. I told my clients that my estimate is at: 22.30. Well, the show started at 22:32, so 2 minutes was wrong, I promise to try to be more precise next time.🤪😂

We got to admire the pink dance this time, so we were really happy.🥰

The "most difficult customers" in my entire hunting history 🤪

My previous trip was also with these group and last night we tried again. We managed to see the Northern Lights more than once, but we had problems with clouds the whole time 🤷😩

Again we drove around Lapland and lost the competition to the clouds again and again. Then we decided to head back to Levi and see if there were any gaps along the way. 😟

At first there were only clouds above us, but we started to see more and more stars. The satellite data suddenly improved a lot and we could expect that there would still be a show coming. I estimate that it would take 1-2 hours and of course we had to stay in the gap we found. Maybe 5 minutes passed and I believe that Mother Nature intervened. She decided to reward our 2-night hunt. The Northern Lights danced for us and we saw pink, yellow, green and we all had smiles on our faces.

Last night was the hardest hunt of the season. At first, our plan was that we have 2 hours to see the lights before the whole of Lapland is covered with clouds. However, at midnight we realized that the cloud maps are wrong and we found a completely clear sky. The satellite values were good and we wait for the lights. But then bad luck intervened and after about an hour of waiting, the sky finally became completely cloudy. The northern lights lit up 15 minutes after this. Well, that's what it's like when competes with Mother Nature. But a new worm on the hook and let's go fishing again 😎

Last night we went hunting for the Northern Lights again. A few problems with the clouds, but in the end everything went really smoothly.
It's starting to look like winter again, hopefully we'll get more snow. Then the trees will also get their perfect dress.

The darkest day of the year, but the night was truly "bright". Mother Nature had arranged three different shows for us. A wonderful family from across the sea had come to visit us here in Lapland. It is wonderful to be able to offer them such an experience.
Now we have a happy Christmas spirit and we relax into the peace of Christmas. focus on our loved ones and spend a peaceful Christmas.

A few photos from our trips in December.

A hurry is a hurry, we tend to say when we don't have time to do everything. But it doesn't hurt to remember our past trips. There is a super top couple from the Netherlands, there is Puerto Rico and an incredible woman with her family from England.

I want to tell this woman's story. She was on my trip 2 years ago and we didn't see the lights then. We did find a cloudless area and photographed the Milky Way, but the Northern Lights activity was zero.

She wanted to trust me again about a week ago. We went out and ended up being forced off the road by a truck. My friend came to help and soon our journey continued. Then we stood in -31 degrees below zero and only a gentle Northern Lights arc came into the sky. So twice I have failed with her, still she said thank you and was going to come back. I told her that maybe another hunter was better. She answered me that there isn't and plans to go with me next time as well.

When that time comes, I'm under super pressure 😬😬🥰

It's that time of the year again when you're really busy and there's more work than you have time to do. Yes we have hunted the Northern Lights but I haven't had time to make any posts. I will tell more about them during today and tomorrow.

Last night we were hunting lights again and it was a wonderful show. -26 degrees below zero, but that didn't bother us.

-22 degrees and a full moon. Maybe not the best starting point to try to find the Northern Lights, but we found them anyway. This time they were small, but that's not in our hands, mother nature decides every night what she has to offer.

Yesterday was another night when u needed to know what to do. We had to leave early, because we saw from the satellites that the lights are in the sky since the beginning of the evening.

And it went as scripted. As soon as we found a cloudless sky, we got to enjoy the lights that spread across the whole sky.
