Hailing from the largest city north of the Arctic Circle, Ilya has been a flexible and highly capable member of the Wild Nordic team since joining us in October 2023. Passionate about music and new experiences, Ilya is the ultimate professional; but he also knows how to crack a few jokes and keep the mood light and fun.

🎇 Will you be spending New Year's Eve in Rovaniemi or Levi? If so, don't miss out on the fun and fireworks that both places have to offer!

📍Fireworks in Levi: Levi's traditional New Year's fireworks are organized near the front slope.

📍Fireworks in Rovaniemi: The city's fireworks display will be held at Koskipuisto. The best viewing location is on the city side of the river, behind Pohjanhovi and on the footpath between the two bridges in the city. NOTE: DO NOT GO ON THE ICE TO VIEW THE SHOW!

⚠️ If you've purchased fireworks, please follow the laws regarding their proper use:

• Always wear proper eye protection 👓

• Only adults should shoot off fireworks 🔞

• Fireworks may be shot off between 18:00 and 2:00 in the New Year's night in Rovaniemi (DO NOT SHOOT THEM OFF DOWNTOWN OR IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS!)

❗️🚫 If you're spending New Year's in Levi, please note that fireworks are not allowed to be shot off in the centre of Levi village on New Year's Eve from 6 pm on December 31st until 2 am on January 1st 🙅‍♂️❗️

This family had amazing luck (and fishing skills) on their Ice Fishing Adventure! 🎣

Looks like the kids were the true fishing pros of the day! The final score? Plenty of cathes for the kids, 1 for mom… and, well, zero for dad! They tested out different techniques, but it’s clear the kids found the magic method. 🐟

Back with another edition of Meet the Guides, today we're spotlighting Jovan!

Originally from Serbia, and having grown up in Austria, Jovan has joined the Wild Nordic team in Rovaniemi for his second season with his wife from Poland.

A professional mechanic by trade, Jovan has been working the last three years in the tourism field as a rafting, glacier boat and snowmobile guide. His favorite things are the cold, boxing, fixing machines and making extraordinary experiences filled with a lot of jokes and fun for tourists.
