I have a close connection to Biausevu Kindergarten in Fiji as I have been going to the village for over 8 years as a volunteer teacher and as a family friend to many of the locals. It averages about 10 children per day, with one head teacher, whereas being3 averages 24 children per day, is privately owned and has 5 qualified staff. The children at being3 and I started discussions on people around
the world and questions about what we think Kindergartens in different countries are like. This sparked a keen interest in the children which allowed me to share my experiences in Fiji with them. The children wanted to see photos of Biausevu, the teacher and the children....they showed curiosity and interest. Once we got into depth as to why I went there to volunteer, children asked if we could send the children in Biausevu 'puzzles, books and play dough' :)
From that moment I decided to contact Amelia the teacher and see if she would be willing to be our 'Sister Kindergarten' and form a ongoing relationship. From that moment on both groups of children and staff felt a sense of pride, happiness and unity. I know from my end, the being3 children showed pride and understanding as to why we will be donating gifts to our new friends in Fiji. So this is how our relationship between being3 and Biausevu began and we cannot wait for the continuous generosity of our wonderful being3 children and families and the constant love and photos from our Biausevu friends.
