Cyclone 🌀 prep time! Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing which way these monsters are headed, so we have to plan for the worst. Which means securing everything, bringing all the outdoor furniture inside, and waiting…

We are the tiny spec on the right and the storms are the big red circles headed our way. We should know by tomorrow afternoon which direction they’re going. Could be bad, could fizzle out to nothing and bring ☀️!

Bush 🛀 🧼!! We have the cleanest, freshest well/spring water around, except for the last two days. Since Sunday, we’ve been filling the toilet tank manually, washing dishes in ocean water, and bathing in the creek. I’m kinda getting used to it.😉

Baby 🦈, doo-doo, doo-doo, Baby 🦈, do-doo, doo, doo. Blacktip Reef Sharks have a gestational period of almost one year and give birth to one to four pups, usually between November and March. The momma shark basically drops the babies off in our flat reef preserve out front and calls it a day. They remain here until they are large enough (about three feet) to venture out past the crest, into the deep blue sea. They’re skittish and a bit shy, but if you stand still long enough, they’ll ignore you and go about their business.
