Sita Patel & her family are visiting Fiji from the US having left Fiji many years ago, whilst at thr market her father met long lost relatives, the tour took on a not only history for the kids but a reconnection for the family.

Monday morning tours with Jim we had a booking for John and Pip from Volivoli village and they drove in this morning for the tour, the second couple John and Wendy booked though Tanoa Hotel and the last Fernando holidaying in Fiji from Panama took a history-walk with us this morning. The weather was perfect for an informative stroll through Suva!

José Javier Legarra is a city sketcher Spanish by ethnic extraction he works & lives in Suva & I am a great fan of his work. This is his caption from his weekend sketching:

“Mrs. Eva allowed me to sketch her little heaps of moci (small shrimps). She sells those at 5 FJD (around 2 euro, 200 gr.) and while I was drawing she managed to sell the whole amount she had. "You brought me good luck" she told me, "come anytime"...”

Moci is a fresh water shrimp that’s insanely delicious and used in Fijian cuisine.
