COMPANY PROFILE

MANAGEMENT
In September of 2006 Kadar Buksh Ltd was purchased by Nisar Ali Shah. Shah has been working in the tourism and transport business for more than 30 years in Fiji. Bringing with him a wealth of experience, Mr. Shah spent the first few months cleaning up the business by having staff and drivers reviewed and assessed and then undergo training programs. The vehicles were al

l put through extensive servicing and refurbishment and the safety standards were reviewed with all vehicles fitted with safety system compliant with Australian standards. Liability and insurance cover was reviewed and increased.

• The Executive Chairman is Mr. Nisar Ali Shah since September 2006.

• A new Chief Executive Officer was appointed Mr. Tasdiq Ali Shah who has been with KBL since September 2006.

• The finance is managed by Ms. Zarah Shah who has been with KBL since July 2014.

• Business development, general upkeep, fleet maintenance as well as the operations and daily movements for KBL is managed by Mr. Ronald Madhwan. Although he joined as a full time manager from January 2016, he is well versed with the operations of KBL Buses due to his affiliation since September, 2006.

• Ms. Shabnum Khan is the Group Administration Manager overlooking the administration of both our Lautoka and Tavua branches. She also manages all reservations for the group.

• The fleet repair & maintenance is managed by Intaz Ali who has been with KBL since February 2007.

• Mohammed Faiyaz Fareed is the Manager for our Tavua operations and manages the branch independently. STAFF
KBL employs 98 staff including drivers, conductor/passenger control officer, mechanics, security officers and maintenance as well as office administration staff. It is a requirement of KBL that all drivers are fully versed in the English language. The drivers are courteous and will assist whenever required. All employees are required to wear full uniform whilst they are on active duty. ASSISTANCE AND ACQUISITIONS
KBL Buses, upon the request of LTA, has been providing support services to bus operators who have faced problems within the Lautoka to Tavua corridor as and when required. Some of the operators assisted are noted below:
- M. Janif Buses Ltd (now fully operated by KBL Buses)
- Empire Bus Services (Ba) Ltd (now partially operated by KBL in Karavi-Koroqaqa-Sarava-Navau areas)
- Chaman Lal Transport (now fully operated by KBL Buses)
- Northwest Transport Ltd (now fully operated by KBL Buses)

FLEET
The KBL’s fleet is comprised of 50 buses in total with seating capacity ranging from 22 to 70 seats. The fleet is very well maintained with regularly servicing to all vehicles and parts are replaced with brand new parts rather than the second hand parts often favoured by other local transport companies. The Mechanical team that services the fleet has a combined experience of more than 70 years with Hino and Albion Diesel engines. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
All of the KBL buses are equipped with fully charged extinguishers, first aid kits and communication devices. All drivers are trained in safety and the usage of the fire extinguishers on board as well as emergency evacuation procedures. The vehicles that have glass windows have clearly marked emergency exits and these are pointed out to passengers upon boarding. The Conductor/ Passenger Control Officers regularly monitor the passenger numbers and ticketing. INSURANCE
KBL is insured through MARSH LIMITED and carries a Public Liability Insurance Policy of
2 Million Dollars.
