Sjóborg ársins skip 2024🏆

Sjóvinnustýrið hevur aftur í ár kosið ársins skip í FAS 2024. Sjoborg vann hendan heiður og Kongsborg gjørdist nummar 2.

Vit í Skansi Offshore eru sera errin og glað um handan heiður. Hetta er eitt herðaklapp fyri tað dygdargóða og trygga arbeiði, sum okkara skip og manningar gera í frálandavinnuni.

Heiðurin eiga okkara dugnaligu starvsfólk og vit takka teimum fyri framúr gott arbeiði og fyri altíð at seta trygdina hægst. Vit vilja somuleiðis takka okkara kundum og samstarvsfeløgum fyri gott samstarv.

Hesin heiður er samstundis íblástur til framhaldandi at menna Skansi Offshore

For the third consecutive year in a row, Sjoborg has placed in the top three in “Ship of the Year” award in FAS. 😍🥳💪

To be in the top three kategori, Sjoborg has to met the high demands and standards from authorities, cargo owners, port state controls and much more.

Eldborg is looking as good as new 👏👏

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐢 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐣𝐞𝐧𝐞. Som at over 30 vindusviskere ble byttet ut, med kabling og alt skipselektronisk som fulgte med. Alt for å gjøre overfarten bedre og gi skipet god hydrodynamikk - for et smooth seilas gjennom bølgene! 🌊

✨ Polering for å fjerne ujevnheter som kan forårsake turbulens.

✨ Fiksing på propeller for å sikre topp ytelse i vannet.

✨ Små reparasjoner for å gi skipet en silkemyk overflate.

REWARD TO TORSBORG 🏆🤩

Last week, Torsborg received a Low Carbon award from Equinor.
As the reward states “ Torsborg has particulary distinguished itself with a conscious attitude towards low energy consumtion in port operations”.

All our vessels have shore connection installed, which makes it possible for our vessels to turn of their engines and connect to on-shore electric power, when in port.
This is just a step on the way for a more sustainable and greener maritime future, and we are proud to be acknowledged for our contribution. 🌱🌊

3/5 HYBRID POWERED VESSEL 🔋✔️

We want to be one of the lead players in a greener and more sustainable maritime future. As a part of this, we have transformed more than half our fleet into Hybrid Powered Vessels.

2023 has been an exciting year this considering; Torsborg is in it final stages of beeing transformed into a Hybrid Powered Vessel.

Torsborg is the third vessel in our fleet to get a battery installed, and the second one just this year 🥳

By installing a battery and hybrid solution onboard, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fuel comsumption even more and do our part to lead the way for a more sustainable maritime future 🌱

HYBRID POWER VESSEL 🔋⚓️

We are proud to announce that Kongsborg is now a Hybrid Powered vessel.

In relation to Kongsborg's 10 years classification, Kongsborg got a battery installed. 🤩

The battery is designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to reduce fuel consumption.

We always strive to make our vessels as environmentally friendly as possible, and this is a huge step in the right direction.
. and Kongborg is not the last off our vessels to get a battery installed this year 🤫🤫😎

Meet Jákup, who works as an AB onboard Kongsborg 👇🤩

“We are 4 AB’s on Kongsborg, including one Boatswain, who is the most senior rate of the deck department. As an AB, we work with cargo operations, safety, mooring operations, and general maintenance. We have drills and training on a regular basis, including firefighting and drills with our FRC (Fast Rescue Craft).

I’ve been with Skansi Offshore for almost a year now, and I really enjoy the time onboard. The relation between the crew is very good, and the vessels are well equipped and maintained. We have a fitness room onboard our vessels which I like to use when I am off duty, and in relations to that, we have the greatest chef onboard, so the fitness room is well used!”

Helena started working for Skansi Offshore 02.06.2013, which means she gets to celebrate her 10 Anniversary day at Skansi Offshore today! 🤩⚓️

We are very lucky to have her as a part of our onshore crew, and look forward to many more years to come!

HONOURABLE MENTION 🤩

Sjoborg has recived an Honourable Mention from The Faroese Maritime Authority, due to consistent and outstanding results in inspections, regarding environmental requirements, manning and safety at sea in the period 2015-2022. ☺️

We are very proud to recive this honour, and that our work towards always improving our standards, regarding environmental requirement, manning and safety at sea, is being recognised by the Faroese Maritime Authorites and the Paris MoU.

TECHNICAL MANAGER 👨‍💻👨‍🔧

Meet Johan, our Technical Manager.

Johan is educated as Marine Engineer, and started his sailing career as AB onboard a trawler. He has sailed as a Marine Engineer onboard many different types of vessels; fishing vessels, container vessels, anchorhandlers and supply vessels. He has many years of experience and has been working with Skansi Offshore for nearly 15 years!

He is located in our office in Tórshavn. But, he still enjoys the offshore life, and often goes onboard as a part as our offshore crew, working with the Engineers onboard.

2 facts you need to know about Johan: He is always in a good mood and brings joy and fun to everyone around him! And, most importantly, he always brings candy onboard when visiting the vessels! 🤩🍬🍫

LOW CARBON PRIZE TO SJOBORG 🥇🤩

Last week, Sjoborg recieved an award from Equinor for best energy consumption improvement in 2022!

We are very proud of this prize and the crew onboard of Sjoborg for making this a reality.
