These chicks have had to wait a bit longer than usual for their first outing but as the sun finally came out....

Chickie time again - another 5.5hr round trip to save them the overnight journey on a pallet lorry. They arrive so much more chirpy and energetic. 300 one day olds. Unusually this takes us up to our maximum 900 Chickie's across the three cabins. Abattoir starts next week - mixed feelings.

Love the summer holidays - the farm becomes a family affair. The boys are busy digging out the base for our new barn.

Oli and I found this lamb in the pond after all the other sheep had been moved onto another field. Oli had to get back to the hay so I trundled her down the very bumpy track, passing the white sheep on the way, to reunite her with her flock.
