It has a long-history of famous artists working in Ceret, its surroundings and to Collioure on the coast -Picasso, Matisse, Soutine, Braque and many more. No doubt one of the highlights of a stay in Ceret

is a visit to the Museum of Modern Art. After a day out to the beach, exploring the local towns or a walk in the forest, how about dinner in a beautiful shaded square, Place des Neuf Jets, a warm terrace or cosy, old-style restaurant. There are over twenty all within walking distance. This is not to mention the many others in the region or in Perpignan (30 minutes) away.
