Your driver/guide will be waiting for you ashore in the chic port of Cannes. This is a small group excursion with a maximum of only 8 participants. You will depart Cannes, following the motorway past the seaside towns of Antibes and Nice, to reach the Medieval hilltop town of Eze, approximately 50 minutes away. The views are great with a panoramic overlook for the Mediterranean. You will have approximately 30 minutes browse the town, wander the shops at the base, or for the energetic, climb up into the medieval town for the most spectacular photo ops including Cap Ferrat. You will then meet up for a short visit is made at the nearby Fragonard perfume, soap, and cosmetics factory. The company began making perfumes in 1926, in the nearby town of Grasse, and now the family business is under the eye of the third generation. There will be a short guided visit and staff on hand will explain how to choose a fragrance that is right for you. Your route will take you to the hillside village of La Turbie. You will stop for a photo overlooking the town and the ruins of the 6th century BC, Trophy of the Alps (Tropaeum Alpium), erected by Roman Emperor Augustus to celebrate a victory. Many former pieces of the Trophy are now part of the homes and buildings that surround it. The real jewel of the French Riviera lies up and over the hill - Monaco. Your first stop here will be the Rock with an overlook of the city. You then have an exterior visit of the Royal Prince Palace. You might get to see the changing of the guard that takes place at 11:55 AM daily. The Cathedral is a short walk away where those wishing can see the final resting place of both Prince Rainier and his Princess Grace. Your transportation will then take you for a quick drive over to the Casino Square. You will have the opportunity for a quick photo of the exterior of the casino with the endless lineup of exotic and luxury cars lined up in front, the Hotel de Paris, and the Cafe de Paris. To wrap up your quick half day visit to the French Riviera, your driver will follow a portion of the Monte Carlo Grand Prix circuit before returning to the motorway for the approximately one hour drive back to the tender pier in Cannes.
