WHATS LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT ?

What sets us apart from other companies is that we’re a guide run, guide led operation.

Myself and Tomas are currently working as leaders in some of the most beautiful places in the world.

We are not sitting in an office Monday to Friday and in the mountains with people on the weekends or sending other part time guides out into the wild.

We are full time, fully qualified international trekking guides and that we think makes a difference.

We love the wild so much that we make our office out in the wild and share that passion, expertise and consistently practiced guiding skillset into all our work.

I’m taking this picture right now after hiking high in the Norwegian fjordlands all day with clients. Tomas is currently running trips through the alps and just back from several in Ireland.

WHAT MAKES A CITIZEN OF THE WILD ?

When we first thought of creating an adventure company we sat down to find a name.

We wrote out what we hoped to be and found ourselves talking about where we started.

We remembered the moments of unbelievable excitement when we really began exploring the magic of the reeks at home with each other and friends.

We spoke about our community, that became inseparable, inspired by the wild places at we visited.

How an evening in a pub after hiking, climbing or strolling in the hills was one much more connected than other evenings.

How because of that magic feeling, we just couldn’t stop learning how to explore.

The skills and experience we gained and how now we wanted to share that with the world.

That the nation we belonged to didn’t have borders or need it’s citizens to come from any one place.

That it was the wild that led us.

And like the rain that often soaked us to the bone.

The name fell. We would be called the citizens of the wild. And anyone was entitled to our passport.

BE ONE OF THE WILD ONES !!

The places we visit seem to have a special knack for attracting great people and bringing them together to form lifelong friendships.

Phurba and Parshu were our local colleagues who led us and shared with us their love for their places and helped us understand Nepal and the Khumbu as they live and work in it.

It’s always great to see how our treks become a space where people who never knew each other before form lasting bonds but also where relationships deepen, friendships grow stronger and in the end the every individual hiker becomes part of something greater than themselves. A team.
