Our friends at the National Nuclear Laboratory, UK, displayed one of their batteries this week at an IChemE Conference. But it was no ordinary one.

No Impact Project

It's not easy being green, especially in a big city like New York!

I watched No Impact Man over the holidays and the hero of the film ran into some problems, including:
* his worm-compost bin filled the apartment with flies
* his "Nigerian water pot fridge" failed to keep anything cold
* friends refused to shake his hand after learning he'd eliminated toilet paper

But he did significantly reduce his impact to the environment while living in a city apartment.
