To me, if we want to tackle climate change, instead of investing millions in unproven and inefficient technologies like batteries (which rely heavily on precious metals and energy in production), we should invest in preventing wildfires. Added bonus, the trees we save will continue to capture and store CO2

Our holiday home is situated in a British owned site Camping du Quinquis (pronounced Kan-Keese), a 3 Star site located in the seaside village of Le Pouldu, in the southwest corner of the Finistere Region, Brittany. Look for their page; Camping du Quinquis.

This really is a very pretty area with miles of long sandy beaches either open to surf or sheltered for the kids. The beach in Le Pouldu is less than 2km (1.2m) away and you can walk or cycle there through pathways and village roads.

The owners and the team are extremely helpful and friendly; the environment is very clean and safe for children. There is a club for the younger ones during the peak season and with 2 play areas, 2 heated swimming pools, 2 football pitches, a large foot-golf course (which our sons have spent hours on), tennis court, basketball area, 4 table tennis tables, a pool table, car free roads to run around and the vast, open spaces to explore and play, here is always something going on for the kids. We have never seen our two boys so happy on holiday. We went for a week in July 2011 and enjoyed our time there so much that we bought our home before we left.

At Quinquis, Andrew & Carole Munro are the English owners. They have created an extremely friendly environment and are always happy to try to help.
There is a takeaway during peak season run by Carole and her team that do their specials and a classic menu of steaks, chicken and fish dishes.
There is a well-stocked and very friendly bar and Andrew and Carole often have an activity to draw you in (football tournament, live band, bingo night, scrabble tournament, midnight swim for kids at 21:50 etc.)
The reception is usually manned from 09.00 to 17:00 who are happy to advise on places to go and things to do.
The reception shop stocks a few essentials and has a daily bread delivery (you need to pre-order).
There is good Wi Fi coverage.
There is a good launderette with dryers, a small library and much more.

The central living area is spacious and comfortable with fully fitted kitchen that has a 4-burner gas hob, cooker and grill, kettle, large fridge, a microwave, a toaster, a TV and a DVD player and a stereo. There are both continental and UK sockets throughout. There is a gas fire and an electric heater if it gets a bit cold in the evening.
All crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, duvet and pillows are supplied but you need to bring (or hire from Quinquis) bedding (sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases) and towels.
The master double bedroom is on one side and the second bedroom with two larger singles is on the other. Both rooms have adequate wardrobe space.
The shower room is a good size and the shower can be used as a small bath for toddlers.
